In this week’s episode I share my thoughts on Jony Ive’s departure from Apple and what it means for the company going forward. I also go into a lot of detail about why iPadOS is a big deal and how it’s re-energized my love for the iPad in general. This week Apple released public betas for macOS Catalina, iOS 13, iPadOS 13, and tvOS 13. That means that curious users can begin running early versions of these operating systems TODAY and test out the new features Apple announced a few weeks back at WWDC. But SHOULD you do this? In this episode, we break that down. What is beta software, who is this for, and what will your experience be if you do install any of these.

Apple announced a voluntary recall of certain 15” MacBook Pro models due to potential safety issues related to the battery in those units. In this video I talk about how to find out if your MacBook Pro is one of the computers that falls under this recall and if so what to do about it.

Apple took to the stage at WWDC to announce all the new features coming to the Mac, iPhone, Apple TV, Apple Watch, and yes, iPad. And the announcement of iPadOS was one of the biggest announcements Apple has made in years. I really believe that years from now we’ll look back to this announcement as a turning point in the iPad as a product. A new report says that Apple is planning to merge its Find My Friends and Find My iPhone apps into a single, unified app as well as release a Tile-like tracking device that would let you track non-Apple devices using this app as well. John Sherrod breaks it all down here.
