One of the most frustrating but empowering parts of being a business coach is seeing where entrepreneurs stop themselves.
Often times, they don't even realize that they're stopping themselves. Something very logical comes in their way like personal circumstances, something related to their child, or something seemingly not working in their business.
But the truth is that every entrepreneur has had their own obstalces too. The difference is how they move through and past them.
Today, I talk to my own coach, Lacey Sites, about going the extra mile.
Lacey Sites is the founder of A Lit Up Life, and she is an expert in coaching business owners to set up their business for sustainability.
Join us as we discuss:
What to do when your business seems not to be thriving how you want it to so that you don't start expending your energy in unnecessary ways
Where to shift your focus to so that you can move with the momentum of your business, rather than feeling like you're falling behind
How to navigate if something is worth going back to the beginning stage throughout your business when it needs adjustments

The merging of motherhood with entrepreneurship looks different for everyone. There is not one path, and it can feel like we have to sacrifice one in order to fully show up in the other. But that is not the case. You can STILL be a hardworking, Type-A entrepreneur, AND show up for your children.
In today's episode, I am joined by my friend and client, Natalie Bacon. She is an entrepreneur, and most importantly, a mom, soon to welcome her third in three years!
Natalie is the founder of Mom On Purpose, where she coaches moms and entrepreneurs on how to be the mothers they want to be while balancing all life throws at you.
In the episode, we get vulnerable and discuss:

I recently had my first $200K sales month.
As a business owner, I used to see those big numbers from other entrepreneurs, and felt like I would've given anything to see things like that myself.
Now, I recognize what goes into it. I'm incredibly proud and grateful for it. AND, I care more about what they symbolize for my business and family than the numbers themselves.
Today, I want to share what is more important, and what we as business owners should be focusing on month to month.
Tune into hear:
The honest conversation of sales vs. cash in a monthly window, and how to decipher which one is more important for you to focus on depending on your season of business.
A transparent look into what actually went into these sales numbers.
The dramatic difference between the practices, both mindset and strategically, I used to employ in attempts to achieve large financial milestones, vs. what I do now.

One year ago, we decided to continue parenthood without a nanny so that I could be the full-time caretaker for my son.
As I'm nearing the final weeks of my second pregnancy, I have reflected on what being a stay-at-home-mom has done for me.
While being a stay-at-home-mom is not a new, revolutionary choice people make, it still created a lot of shifts in my personal and business life.
In today's episode, I will be diving into:
What went into the choice of being without a nanny and how I adjusted my routine to support my son and my business
Why I didn't allow the pressure's of motherhood cause my business and passions to sink, but rather they empowered me and allowed my business to thrive
The specifics of my schedule, my days, and logistics for juggling both

Not everything you see on social media is real.
But my nearly-daily sales notifications... are very real.
As I am slowing my personal life down during my final weeks of pregnancy, I am grateful for my passive daily sales that are made daily with my business.
My passive sales allow me to travel, be a mom, spend time with my son, and adjust my lifestyle as needed while still making sales.
In today's episode, I share with you the 3 tips to make daily sales and how to grow your business. I discuss:
Why passive daily sales may or may not be right for you and your business, and how to make that decision
Maintaining consistency with your outreach, and reaching clients organically to increase your daily sales traffic
Utilizing social media in a way that reaches a larger audience

Personal finance as an entrepreneur can be beyond confusing. Not only does much of the personal finance advice out there apply to those with paychecks, but we also get conflicting advice.
Entrepreneurship is inherently risky. With so much personal finance being about saving for a "rainy day," estimating conservatively, anti-debt, etc. it can feel like you can't make a right move as an entrepreneur.
On the other hand, there's few too many "success" stories out there of entrepreneurs making millions of dollars but having a million more in debt, none in savings, little to no profit margin, etc.
I'm not a financial advisor, but I have navigated both extremes. I've gone into credit card debt AND now run a debt-free business. I've been terrified to quit my 9-5 AND turned my 9-5 salary into my monthly salary. I've had to pay for health insurance out of pocket AND max out my HSA account annually.
You CAN do both. Here's my journey and I hope it helps you.

This year, I made a vision board for 2024 in January. By mid March, I had to redo it because so many of these things had come true.
I used to practice manifestation in a very 'woo-woo' way that doesn't make sense for me anymore.
I have learned a lot about envisioning and manifesting my dream life in a powerful, practical way that WORKS. I had many manifestations come true already this year.
I do believe that our successes are mindset based, but we have to be careful what kind of content we consume when it comes to envisioning our lives and businesses.
In today's episode, we will be discussing:
How you can manifest in a way that is action based, not just about energy and thinking about it
Developing a practice for yourself that leaves room for ebbs and flows with your business and lifestyle
A step-by-step manifestation process that has worked for me this current year

This February's recap is short and sweet because the truth is... I didn't work all that much!
Despite it being a higher-than-average cash month (over $50k in cash), this was far from a "hustle" month for me. No big launches, my Mastermind remains closed and my private coaching remains full.
In this episode, I'm sharing the insights of a very AVERAGE month. I want to normalize that not every month or season needs to be about aggressive growth.
I also want to normalize that even in more low key seasons of life or business, you can still make more in a month than you used to in a year, with a strong strategy and passive products.
In today's episode, I will be sharing with you:
Personal shares from my February; updates on parenthood, lifestyle changes to spending more time outside in Central Park each day than working, and some processing of grief.
Behind-the-scenes of what I've been casually working on and what's been working well with sales done via DMs and improving funnels.
Reminders on the importance of MRR and client retention, which are so easily overlooked in the "shiny object syndrome" world we live in!

January was not the happiest month for me personally. However, even with a lot of gray and gloomy days, I was still able to find pockets of joy to escape the winter blues.
And, it was a month of seeing my business come through for me. It was still a month of wins.
I went to Florida multiple times, hosted a retreat, spent wonderful quality time with my family, and my business still grew. Moving forward this month, I have made adjustments for where I am in my life, and I will not be making a million dollars. And that's okay.
In this January recap, you'll hear:
How I have set up my business to succeed to leave room for travel, mom life, and retreats
My income lowering, and why it's okay that I won't be making a million this year
How to create a business that can you hold you through the human-ness of life!
