It's the 6 year anniversary of buying my first domain name: urban20something.com. If I could go back, I would give that scared, brave girl a hug as she clicked "purchase" because she is the reason I am where I am today. Taking one small (but also momentous) action that rippled out into my now 7-figure business.
This is part two of the 6 things I'd tell myself back then to help me think bigger than just earning $400 extra a month, move out of living paycheck to paycheck faster, and encourage her as she took big risks to make this dream life possible.
Tune in to hear:
my biggest fears when starting out vs. my fears that came true
how much debt I went into to start my business
how to push past the inevitable obstacles and doubt by pairing mindset work with tangible action

6 years ago, I hit "publish" on a blog post for the very first time. I have so much love for that girl six years ago. She was in debt, single, not a mom yet, trying to find her way in NYC, but she knew she was meant for something bigger.
But it was a hard journey. Confusing, like a puzzle I couldn't crack. So I want to share with you some of the things I would tell myself back then: what to focus on, what to stress less about, and how I'd encourage her.
Tune in to hear:
How posting cringe-worthy content is the first step to growing your business
Why creating an amazing offer should NOT be your top priority when starting out
The strategy behind pricing your offers (hint: lower prices do not equal more customers!)
I hope these insights allow you to let go of what others may think and focus in on what's important as you chase after your biggest vision!
Exactly 6 years ago, I woke up feeling like it was Christmas morning.
I had finally saved up the $50 I needed from my 9-5 paycheck to purchase an blogging e-book and my very first domain. I was sharing a one-bedroom apartment with two roommates, feeling like money was beyond scarce, and I was ready to change my life.
Now, I've quit my job, hit 7-figures in my business, I'm a wife and mom, living in a two-bedroom apartment across from Central Park, and wake up everyday thinking "I can't believe this gets to be my life."
Are you ready to give yourself permission to finally love your dream life?

my fears of what would happen when I made this decision, and how I worked through them

I lost my dad 4 years ago today.
That day changed the trajectory of my life. I was hit with the reality of truly how short life is. Even though I felt paralyzed for months, it was the catalyst to quit my 9-5, to play bigger in life, and ultimately why I'm here now.
In this episode, I talk with one of my friends and past clients, Neal Bakshi, who went through something similar with his mom.
We want to bring you the real, honest truth about what the grieving & healing process has been like for us, as well as the impact this has had in our lives & business.
In case any of you are going through this too, we want you to know you're not alone and are sending you love through this episode.
