‘I should have …’
‘If only I ….’
‘I wish I did ….’
It’s funny how when you think about the things you didn’t do & now regret, you only think about the potential positive stuff that could have happened & you feel like you may have missed out on.
You don’t tend to think … ‘If only I said yes to ______, that could have ended up in me getting hit by a bus on the way to that event’. (Morbid I know … but you get the point right?)
Plus when you focus upon regrets, you rob yourself of the chance to recognise all the things that you DID do & HAVE achieved.
And more importantly to realise that it’s not over yet … and the choices you make & decisions you take right now, will cause a new ripple effect of possibilities in your future.
This really struck home to me again last week, as my week off to relax & unwind took an unexpected turn because we all needed to self-isolate because of COVID.
But I still did get time to read a book called ‘The Midnight Library’ by Matt Haig & it was all about looking at regrets.
It was a fab book & I share more about the insights I took from it, plus a very powerful passage in this week’s podcast episode.
Have a fun & productive week ahead … living your live & growing your business without any need for regret!

Imagine your business was a sausage … what would it look, smell, taste, feel & sound like?
Is it nice, juicy, appetising & sizzling?
Or is it a bit thin; lumpy, filled with random flavours or feeling a bit stale?
Well what does that tell you about the ingredients you’re putting in … if that’s the sausage that’s coming out?
Hmmm ….
In this week’s short podcast episode, let’s lift the lid on the BBQ & see what’s cooking in your business.
Listen in .... even if you’re not a big fan of sausages!
Best wishes as always.

Back in the ‘good old days’ when we used to go the cinema a lot, I used to treat myself to the occasional ice cream.
The cabinet would be filled with delicious flavours, many with some interesting names to choose from.
And guess what … I never went … ‘Can I have 2 scoops of Vanilla please’
Vanilla … there’s nothing wrong with it & it does taste nice … but it’s just a bit … vanilla!
And often when it comes to business, we can end up being a bit vanilla too … if we don’t watch out for it.
Why … typically it’s when we’re trying to please everyone!
Does that sound like you?
You know … when you say yes to things, even when your first reaction is no! Or when you try to keep the peace & not disappoint anyone with the decisions your making … like your prices; services or products?
Being a people-pleaser can feel like you’re being ‘nice’ … but it could actually be doing more harm than good to you; your business & even your current or prospective customers.
So how do you stop being a people-pleaser?
I share many practical tips over on this week’s podcast episode … including examples of how I am a recovering people-pleaser & need to keep making sure I don’t have a relapse!
I also tell you how my father-in-law’s words of wisdom always helps me when it comes to this too.

I’ve been eyeing up a new office chair for a while & finally went to order it …. to find that it’s got a delivery date of over a month now!
With us being so used to living in a world where we get things so fast, I was genuinely shocked & it feels like a lifetime away.
It can feel like that when it comes to growing your business too, right?
Like we want it all to have happened … like yesterday!
But patience can actually be a good thing.
Want to know a couple of things that can make you more patient in business & that I’m always sharing with my clients?
Tune into this week’s podcast episode & I’ll chat you through them.

I was being Mr Grumpy Pants this weekend, all because our family holiday later this month was officially cancelled.
I know, I know … not the end of the world but it still!
And first I was beating myself up for feeling rubbish about it but then I decided to give myself permission to wallow in it & be negative…. for a short period of time!
I talk about this more in this week’s podcast episode & share some top tips on how I then helped myself move to a more positive place.
I’m sure that there could be some useful tips in there for you too, if you find yourself in a place that you don’t want to stay in for too long.
But my biggest takeaway was the reminder that even as a business & mindset coach … I’m human & for all of us, it’s ok to feel not ok at times!

Do you ever feel like you’re constantly going on & on …. & talking about the same things in your business, over & over again, like all of the time?
So is that a good things or a not so good thing, when it comes to the content you are creating & sharing?
Well first of all … you do know you’re the only one who will likely see all of your content right?
Repetition is key … that’s why apparently you don’t get a six pack from going to the gym just once.
Not only can it help you to keep focused & stop jumping from launching one product or service, to only then abandon it because you’re off to launch something else next.
But it can also help your potential customers remember what you are all about, so when & if they need you, you will have stuck in their mind.
So in this week’s episode … which can you believe is number 127 … let’s talk about this even more together.
And think of it this way … did you have a shower or bath today? Even though you had one yesterday & the day before? Why do you keep doing that? Ahhh … yeah you get it now, right?
Rinse & repeat is a good thing for you & your business.
I’ll also share in the podcast, why this isn’t just important for potential new customers, but also key for your existing customers too!

I was on school drop off duty on Monday, which was fun in the pouring rain.
As I was giving Kaiyas a subtle ‘hug’, so as not to ruin his street cred before he ran into the playground, I couldn’t help notice his friend’s mum was saying to her son …
‘Remember you can just do your best & have fun’.
Ohh how nice, right.
But then as we walked back to where our cars were parked, she said basically told me that she’d been saying the complete opposite to herself all weekend!
Yikes!
I know something is 100% true for yourself … you’ve got a little voice in your head that talks to you. Am I right? Told you!
But how is that little or BIG voice talking to you?
Would you say what you say to yourself to a child or even your best friend?
The scary thing is that what we are saying inside our heads can totally impact what we do & don’t do going forward.
Listen into this week’s podcast to hear more, plus how you can change that inner voice from being a mean bully to a cheerleader instead. (Pompoms are totally optional!)
Enjoy & let me know what how this super powerful strategy works for you!
Best wishes as always.

I’m partial to a cuppa coffee (or two or three) a day, so last week I decided it was time to grow up & buy myself a proper coffee machine.
But after unboxing it, I was a little overwhelmed … as even though I paid extra for the ‘auto’ machine … there was still quite a bit to learn to make a ‘perfect’ flat white. Like deciding what grind size to use for the beans! Sometimes you just don’t know what you don’t know, right?
How have you been feeling about what you’re doing in business lately? Overwhelmed or feeling on top of things?
I think it’s natural for us to feel overwhelmed at times, especially when going after goals that are important for us & moving our business forward.
But if overwhelm is becoming more of the ‘norm’, then it can actually be really draining & waste so much of our time & energy … unnecessarily!
So in today’s podcast episode, I thought we could have a little chat about what to do when feeling overwhelmed.
Sound good?
Inside it, I share 5 key things that can help you get out your way in those times when you feel like you’ve got lots to do or thinking …. ‘agghh what am I doing??’
They include:

I nearly got strangled, all because of a tub of clotted cream.
What was meant to be a 5-minute trip across the road to Tesco …. ended up taking more than 40 minutes.
Shareen was about to go crazy when she heard the chap on the door … think it was me … but in fact it was our guests who had arrived!
And there she was still in her PJs ! Because whilst I was away, she was frantically running around the place doing some last-minute tidying & also dealing with a ‘poo-nami’ situation with our new-born Zakariya.
So why did I take so long? Honestly … it wasn’t because I went for a cheeky coffee or to meet a friend.
It was because of the stupid way that I was making bad decision …after bad decision … all in the pursuit of getting the clotted cream.
You can hear me tell the full story in this week’s podcast episode.
But more importantly, you’ll understand how the type of thinking, is something that you may be also doing when it comes to making decisions in your business.
So give it a listen too, so you can hear recount the tale of this fateful afternoon & to see if I managed to get the clotted cream … or not!?!
