I'm going to be honest, this was one of my absolute favorite interviews so far.
Meet A'Shanti, business owner and mom to a son diagnosed with autism. In this raw and vulnerable interview, A'Shanti shares her story of birthing her 1 pound baby boy at 25 weeks after having her water bag ruptured during a wellness check. She also speaks about starting her business while in the NICU for 4 months and the struggle with not being able to see her son during the rise of the pandemic.
After doing tons of research, she was already prepared to receive an autism diagnosis and with fast action and early intervention, her son was already placed into virtual therapy by the time he was 7 months.
Finally, she discusses the divide in the autism community and the impact social media can have on on parents looking for solutions to help their child. She provides perspective on detoxing, ABA therapy, being gluten free, her faith and so much more.
This was such a beautiful interview and I want to thank A'Shanti for being so willing to share her story.
