  • Picky Eater With Autism? How to Get Healing Food In When They Refuse

Picky eater with autism? If your child refuses juice, spits out supplements and won’t swallow a pill, this episode is for you. I’m sharing how I get healing food into my daughter who refuses everything, using a medicine syringe, manuka honey and a calming green juice. Practical steps for autism gut health and biblical encouragement for Christian moms of autistic kids.

You found the food or remedy that could help your child. Then you hit the wall: your child won’t take it. In this episode I open up the kitchen pharmacy. I share the way in that worked for us, and the first foods I pulled out of our kitchen to calm the gut issues and inflammation we were dealing with.

    In this episode:

    • The syringe method: 5 ml green juice + 5 ml manuka honey, given at the back of the cheek so the honey hits first
    • What’s in our green juice: celery, cilantro, ginger and green apple, plus turmeric and black pepper (and why the pepper matters)
    • Manuka honey benefits: why I use MGO 400+ first thing in the morning on an empty stomach
    • Die-off symptoms: the gas and crankiness to expect when bad bacteria like H. pylori start dying off, and why it usually passes in a few days
    • 4 first foods to remove: synthetic folic acid (folic acid vs folate), artificial dyes like red dye 40, high fructose corn syrup, and known sensitivities like wheat and dairy
    • Healthy food for a picky eater: smoothies, popsicles, gummies, a straw or a favorite cup
    • The mindset that changed everything: there is always a way in
    • Five loaves and two fish (John 6): God multiplies the ordinary thing in your hands
    • A prayer for the autism mom standing in her kitchen feeling defeated
    • Chapters:

    • PANDAS Syndrome or Autism Regression? 7 Red Flags From Our Story

PANDAS syndrome or autism regression? If your child was developing normally and then suddenly regressed, or if OCD behaviors, tics, or rage come and go in waves, this episode is for you. I break down the symptoms of PANS PANDAS, the exact labs to ask for, and what to say so your doctor takes you seriously. Root cause hope for Christian autism moms.

      • Was your child developing normally and then suddenly regressed, especially around age one to three?
      • Did the behavioral change happen right after an illness, a fever, a tick bite, or a course of antibiotics?
      • Does your child struggle with intense OCD behaviors, tics, or rage that seems to come and go in waves?
      • Episode Highlights

I share how Melody’s strep antibodies came back at over 2,000 when the top of normal is under 200, and she was not even sick with strep at the time. No doctor had ever tested for it. When I finally found a provider to run one simple blood test, it cracked the whole case wide open. We break down what PANS and PANDAS are in plain English, no medical degree required: how confused antibodies can mistake a child’s brain for an infection and cause sudden regression, and why, for some children, what is being called autism could actually be a treatable autoimmune problem. Grab a pen. I map out seven red flags to reopen your child’s case file, the exact labs to request, including the ASO titer and Anti-DNase B, and the specific words to say at your next appointment so you are never dismissed again.

              6. Nonverbal Autistic Child? The Prayer I Stopped Praying

Nonverbal autistic child? If your child suddenly lost her words to autism regression, and you have prayed the same prayer for healing so many times you finally stopped, this premiere episode is for you. Root cause hope and biblical encouragement for Christian autism moms, through the story of Mephibosheth.

                • Have you prayed the same prayer so many times you started to feel embarrassed asking again?
                • Did you quietly downgrade your prayers from total healing to just getting through the day?
                • Do you carry a guilt that you are somehow bothering God by asking Him to do what you know He can do?
                • Episode Highlights

In this premiere episode, I share how a medical crisis at age 13 taught me to hunt for the root cause instead of covering up symptoms, and how that lesson came back to change everything when my daughter Melody suddenly lost her words. If your child won’t speak, and you have prayed the same bold prayer so many times that you eventually stopped out of grief and the quiet guilt that you were bothering God, this one is for you. You are not bothering Him, and the prayer you gave up on is not dead. Through the story of Mephibosheth in the Bible, you will see why your child’s seat at the King’s table is secure before the healing ever comes, and how God answered a specific prayer I had completely forgotten, years after I stopped asking. Your fight is not over, Mama. We are finding the way forward together.
