Greetings, this is Coach Charlene.
We’ve spent the last few weeks in a deep series on burnout , and I know so many of us are tired of just hearing the word. But I think it’s so important to keep talking about it, because sometimes you don't even know you're in it—you just have the signs.
As nurses, physicians, and caregivers, our work isn't getting easier. That's why my role as the "wellness whisperer" is to help you hone in on taking care of you. You are your most valuable asset, and you must take responsibility for yourself first, not last.
In this episode, I want to wrap up the series with a powerful truth: You already have what it takes to thrive. You were never meant to simply survive your shift.
I'm here to help you lead your own healing, and we're going to focus on three core ideas:
Your identity matters more than your role. I’ll guide you through the power of self-discovery to find out who you are beyond your title. Knowing who you are brings conviction and makes you unstoppable.
Your joy is strategic and thriving is a choice. This isn't a reward; it's a vision you build one day at a time.
You already hold the power. I want to show you that your true power doesn't come from your position, but from your presence, your peace, and your purpose.
Join me for this final activation. It's time to protect your inner world , live aligned , and show up as the light you were made to be.
Are you a nurse, physician, or healthcare professional feeling the effects of burnout, frustration, and negativity in your workplace? That's "emotional contagion"—the silent transfer of moods and attitudes—and it can drain your energy and impact patient care.
In this episode, we talk about why "what you carry affects what you create" and gives you practical tools to manage your inner climate. Learn how to stop absorbing the stress around you and start setting the emotional tone of any room you enter.
In this video, you will learn:
(01:03:04) What is emotional contagion and why is it so high-stakes in healthcare?
(01:08:34) How burnout and emotional exhaustion directly fuel negative contagion on a team.
(01:10:41) The key difference between being an "emotional thermometer" (reflecting the environment) and an "emotional thermostat" (setting the environment).
(01:11:59) A 30-second "Quick Coherence" technique to reset your energy before entering a patient's room.
(01:14:20) How to use "micro-resets" to ground yourself between difficult patient interactions.
(01:15:50) How to choose your "emotional posture" with a powerful daily mantra.
(01:17:26) A "5-Second Energy Check" to recalibrate your mood instantly.
This video is essential for any healthcare worker, nurse, or leader who wants to protect their own well-being and create a positive, healing environment for their colleagues and patients.

Hey, this is Coach Charlene. Have you ever returned from a vacation or taken time off, only to feel just as empty and exhausted as before?
I know that feeling all too well. I learned that this isn't just fatigue—it’s your soul being depleted. In this video, I share my personal story about how I realized that no amount of vacation can fix the feeling of being misaligned with your true purpose. It’s a deep exhaustion that time off simply can’t touch.
I want to help you understand the difference between surface-level rest and the soul-level restoration you truly need. I'll walk you through the four layers of restoration that helped me recharge from the inside out:
Physical: Getting the right sleep, hydration, and movement.
Emotional: Using tools like therapy and journaling to truly let yourself feel.
Spiritual: Connecting with your source through prayer, reflection, or nature.
Purpose: Finding at least one thing that makes you feel alive again.
I'll also guide you through my "Alignment Check," a set of powerful questions I used to find my truth, including "What do I need to release?" and "Where have you been avoiding healing?".
It’s time to stop waiting for the weekend or PTO to save you. Join me in this episode to learn how to make restoration your lifestyle, not your emergency fix.
In this fireside chat, I wanted to do a heart-to-heart for every nurse out there who is feeling the weight of our profession. After more than 32 years in nursing, I want to open up and share my own story of burnout, the constant grind of leadership, and some of the sobering lessons I've learned along the way.
I'll reflect on the incredible impact we have—how we are the instruments used to help a baby take its first breath and usher in a future president, CEO, or pastor. But I also want to share the heavy cost that can come with our work, and I'll tell you a personal story about one of my biggest regrets—prioritizing my new role at work over spending more time with my sick mom.
This episode is for you if you've ever felt:
Exhausted and on the burnt-out side of things.
The pressure to prove yourself, even when it costs you precious time with loved ones.
Unsure how to set the boundaries you need to protect your own well-being.
Join me for an honest conversation about choosing to be a healing presence instead of a toxic one and why your loved ones are more important than any job. This is my vital reminder to you that you are not defined by your burnout. It’s a call to remember your immense value and to start healing from the inside out.
Have you ever walked away from a shift thinking, "Man, I should have said something," but you froze?. If you've ever felt ignored, dismissed, or afraid to speak up at work, this episode is for you.
We are exploring the "silent suffering behind nurses' smiles" and the reasons why a culture of silence is so common in healthcare. The host shares her personal story of being silent for 20 years in the face of injustice and the pivotal moment that shifted her from frustration to action and impact. This episode provides the tools to help you use your voice not as a weapon, but as a transformational instrument of change.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
The root causes of workplace silence, including fear of retaliation, toxic leadership, and the culture of hierarchy.
How to speak from a place of authenticity that is aligned with who you are, not who others expect you to be.
Practical, real-life courage scripts you can use in challenging conversations to address safety concerns or offer a new perspective.
Why speaking up doesn't just free you—it opens the door for your colleagues to be honest and courageous as well.
In this pisode, I want to go a little deeper into how you can choose joy on purpose, every single day, no matter what your shift throws at you.
For me, choosing joy is an intentional and deliberate act ; it doesn’t mean ignoring reality, but deciding not to let circumstances steal your essence.
I call this practice my "daily rebellion" against the natural tendency to be negative because of everything going on around us. I'll give you the tools and mindset to make joy one of your non-negotiables.
I’ll share my "Daily Joy Declaration" and three simple steps you can take in any moment: pause and breathe, name what's good, and carry a "joy token" with you.
When you start doing this, you'll find that you stop reacting and start creating , and your energy becomes more contagious than the chaos.
In this episode, I want to talk directly to you about a tough question: What do you do when the place that once made you proud now just makes you tired?.
I know how it feels, especially in the nursing profession, to be present but disconnected. I want you to know that you're not broken, and you are enough. We'll talk about some of the reasons joy fades in healthcare, from the high emotional labor to the lack of recognition and support.
My goal is to give you practical ways to reignite your passion right where you are, without quitting or waiting for things to change.
I'll share a simple tool I call the "three joy touch points" to help you reconnect with meaning before, during, and after your shift. We'll also look at how to re-engage with your purpose by looking in the mirror with intention and speaking to yourself with grace and love.
What happens when career success comes at the cost of your health and soul?
