A pioneering project in #NorthYorkshire is changing young people's lives. No Wrong Door supports those in care until they're ready to live on their own. Older residents from the #Ripon area have enjoyed a summer holiday without even packing a suitcase. It's partly thanks to a £1,000 grant from #NorthYorkshire County Council's Stronger Communities programme. The Holiday at Home scheme has been run in churches across the country, but this is the first time that the Ripon and Lower Dales Methodist Circuit has staged an event. Businesses selling #food are being encouraged to join a scheme called Healthier Choices. It's part of a campaign to help improve our eating habits and also reduce levels of obesity in #NorthYorkshire. Stray FM has been speaking to Trading Standards officer David Miller.

Plans to introduce Sunday charges for on-street parking in #Harrogate have been approved. The charges will apply between 10am and 6pm, and are expected to be in place from 1 October. Stray FM has been finding out more from County Councillor Don Mackenzie.
