Prince Archie turned five on Monday, May 6, and King Charles III is said to be "desperate" to have a relationship with his grandson and Princess Lilibet Diana. "King Charles and his team are desperately worried that whatever the king sends to his grandson may be misinterpreted by Harry and Meghan," royal author Tom Quinn dished. "There has even been talk that he will send one of his own watercolor paintings to Archie as a present as Meghan loves homemade gifts and dislikes extravagant expensive presents," Quinn added when discussing the monarch's gift ideas for Archie's fifth birthday on Monday, May 6.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry often compare the Duchess of Sussex to Princess Diana, but one royal podcaster claimed the Suits star told her husband she channeled the late Princess of Wales during a workout. "At the Queen's Platinum Jubilee when Harry and Meghan were in that room, we kind of saw them peeking out, allegedly Beatrice overheard Meghan say to Prince Harry: 'Your mum talked to me this morning during yoga and she's really glad that we're here,'" Kinsey Schofield told host Dan Wootton on the "Outspoken Uncancelled" podcast. "He is quite destructive, and to have someone like Harry would bring a fault line to the royalfamily because you never know what he is going to do next," he added when discussing William's future reign. King Charles III's first official portrait since his coronation was revealed at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday, May 14 - but not everyone who saw it was impressed. The painting by artist Jonathan Yeo is shaded in vivid reds that match the monarch's uniform, nearly blending him in the background of the sea of color that many Reddit users compared to blood. "I had to look at it twice, I though it was a pretty cool painting of Chancellor Palpatine before I read thecaption," one person quipped, and another joked, "This looks like one of those paintings you'd see hanging on the walls of an abandoned building in a horror game."

King Charles III reportedly found himself "worried" his estranged youngest son, Prince Harry, would "tape" their conversation had he met with him on Wednesday, May 8. "For all her efforts to make a success of her new online business, America Riviera Orchard, Meghan knows that a personal memoir of her time in the U.K. as a working royal would sell millions of copies and make her the sort of money she craves."
