What thought was going on in my mind when my Uncle told me I had RBF? It was a thought that supported the RBF. I don't know why I thought it, but I did. Then I changed the thought, by recognizing it and telling myself a different thought. You have the power to change your thoughts, you have the power to believe the thoughts you want to. 

RBF. Do you know what it is? Do you have it? Resting Bitch Face is common among women who are serious. Women who find themselves in deep thought often get told they have RBF. By suggesting this; they are insinuating the women appears to be unkind or unapproachable or even unhappy.  

I suffer from RBF 😶. I used to have it all of the time, I wore it proudly. I thought I had grown past this stage where I wore my thoughts on my face, until the other day... LOL 🤪

Hey Y'all!! This is another day in the life of Your Daily Dose of Lex... not today but the other day. Let me set the scene.... cold, rainy winter day on the mountain. Fog is high and deep. The kind of day where you are laying around and it feels ok to do it. It's chilly not freezing but chilly, the sun is barely peeking through the clouds.  I am in the fairy 🐌🦗🐝🍂🌳 cottage telling myself all kinds of stories that my mind has made up about every single situation I have ever been in and how I should have handled them. You, know because that's overthinkers do and then my Uncle calls... find out what he said when you listen....

Am I running away or am I starting a new chapter?

Am I just now living my best life or have I always been living my best life and I just wasn’t paying attention. Who are you to judge someone’s “best Life”? How do you know? Why aren’t you worried about your own life?

My question today is how did you get to today? What brought you here? What trials and tribulations catapulted you to this present moment? Can you look back and see your failures, your successes? When you do look back, do you stay there? Why? What does it do for you? Being riddled with anxiety is living in the future and being starved by depression is because you are living in the past. Let go of the past, learn from it but don’t stay in it. See it for what it was. If you are reading or listening to this then you have made it this far in your life. Everything that has came at you thus far you have finished. Why would your next steps be any different? Even if the scenario isn’t the best, you will still make it through it. You may gain a few wrinkles (clearly my biggest concern) you might make people mad including yourself but what if the outcome is a good one? What if the wrinkles are from smiling? What if you make yourself happy because who cares about the people. This is about you, and moving forward. Making things happen and winning when you do them.

So I was rethinking my initial judgement on Adrian... He wasn't my guy that is for sure, we were not on the same level at all. I knew it, he knew it and the entire establishment knew it. That doesn't mean he deserved the judgement I made of him. I had all these Unconscious Bias going on from the cigarette choice, the energy boost, the clothes and just everything. We all have Unconscious bias and I never really paid attention to mine. You see this guy sent me to a place of an unconscious bias about addicts; drug addicts and alcoholics. A type of person I know very well. In my experience addicts are successful. They are successful in getting what they want. They are successful at being selfish. They are successful at filling their addiction, no matter the cost. Sometimes they are successful at convincing others they are not addicts, because of the simple fact that they are "successful" or functioning at everyday tasks. Some see this as a way to justify the addiction, again no matter the cost. I don't know if Adrian is an addict, what I do know is Adrian triggered something in me. At first I found the experience funny and now I see it as the lesson I needed, so I may have not followed my signs but the path I chose the other night lead me to something I never would have come to realize if I had paid attention to my signs. 🚧🚦🧾

So he was smoking Marlboro Menthols 🚭 (who doesn't disclose that) wearing Sperrys and a long sleeve Simply Southern t-shirt with a bottle of energy juice, a shot of tequila and a coors light LMAO I'll i'm thinking is here we go!!! You would think the two accidents that I had to get detoured from would have stopped me from a night out. I should have known when I pulled into the vacant grocery store shopping center and the name of the bar was "DIAMOND CLUB" at first I wondered was it a strip club this man had me meeting him at. So against any judgement and any signs that had been given earlier in the night I proceed to see what lesson will be learned tonight! The patio has blue and white christmas lights above the ceiling and a few round black patio tables and chairs. Not too shabby, except for the ceiling fan that was squeaking with every turn and then the big reveal...  an entire bar filled with cigarette smoke and like 10 people in there max. WTF. 🤮🥸
