Today's Quote: “No sympathy for the devil; keep that in mind. Buy the ticket, take the ride...and if it occasionally gets a little heavier than what you had in mind, well...maybe chalk it up to forced consciousness expansion: Tune in, freak out, get beaten.”
― Hunter S. Thompson, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
This weekend's writing prompt - fitting with the launch of Tesla's "plaid" model this week:
“I was excited when the rental clerk offered to upgrade me to a Tesla. But I was also concerned. I had a long drive ahead of me across the desert and I was worried about finding a charging station. No problem, the clerk reassured me, this is a special superior long range model. I remembered his words vividly halfway to Joshua Tree when, with all the fanfare of a computer crashing, the Tesla went dead in the middle of the road. That’s when it suddenly occurred to me - rental companies don’t actually RENT Teslas. I stepped out of the car into the blazing sun to investigate what was actually under the hood of my mystery rental."
