Day 9 Intention: Today bring Me SOULS WHO HAVE BECOME LUKEWARM, and immerse them in the abyss of My mercy. These souls wound My Heart most painfully. My soul suffered the most dreadful loathing in the Garden of Olives because of lukewarm souls. They were the reason I cried out: 'Father, take this cup away from Me, if it be Your will.' For them, the last hope of salvation is to run to My mercy.

To fittingly observe the Feast of Mercy, we should:

1. Celebrate the Feast on the Sunday after Easter.
2. Sincerely repent of all our sins.
3. Place our complete trust in Jesus.
4. Go to Confession, preferably before that Sunday.
5. Receive Holy Communion on the day of the Feast.
6. Venerate* the Image of The Divine Mercy.
7. Be merciful to others, through our actions, words, and prayers on their behalf.

*To venerate a sacred image or statue simply means to perform some act or make some gesture of deep religious respect toward it because of the person whom it represents — in this case, our Most Merciful Savior.

Day 8 Intention: Today bring Me THE SOULS WHO ARE DETAINED IN PURGATORY, and immerse them in the abyss of My mercy. Let the torrents of My Blood cool down their scorching flames. All these souls are greatly loved by Me. They are making retribution to My justice. It is in your power to bring them relief. Draw all the indulgences from the treasury of My Church and offer them on their behalf. Oh, if you only knew the torments they suffer, you would continually offer for them the alms of the spirit and pay off their debt to My justice.

The 24 Hours of the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ

Finding myself in my  usual state, I was fusing all of  myself in my  sweet Jesus, and then I poured all of  myself  into the creatures, in order to give the whole of Jesus to  all. And my  lovable Jesus told me: "My daughter, every time the creature fuses herself in Me, she gives the influence of Divine Life to all creatures; and according to their own needs, the  creatures obtain their effects: those who are weak, feel strength; those who are obstinate in sin, receive light; those who suffer, receive comfort; and so with all the rest." Then, I found myself outside of myself. I was in the midst of many souls - they seemed to be purging souls and Saints - who were speaking to me  and mentioning one person known to me, who died not too long ago. And they said to me: ‘He feels happy  in seeing that  there is not a soul who enters Purgatory without carrying the mark of the Hours of the Passion. Surrounded  by the cortege of these Hours and helped by them, the souls take a safe place.  And there is not a soul  who flies into Heaven, without being accompanied by these Hours of the Passion. These Hours make a continuous dew pour down from  Heaven to earth, into Purgatory, and even into Heaven.’ On hearing this, I said to myself: ‘Maybe my  beloved Jesus, in order to keep the word He had given- that for each word of the Hours of the Passion He  would give a soul - is allowing that there be not a saved soul who does not benefit from  these Hours.’ Afterwards, I returned into myself, and as I found my  sweet  Jesus, I asked Him  whether that was true. And He: "These Hours are the order of the  Universe; they put Heaven and earth in harmony, and restrain Me from  sending the world to ruin.  I feel my  Blood, my  wounds, my  Love and all I did, being placed in circulation; and they flow over all to save all. As  souls do these Hours of the Passion, I feel my  Blood, my  wounds, my  anxieties to save souls, being put in motion, and I feel my  own Life being repeated. How could creatures obtain any  good if not by means of these Hours?  Why do you doubt?  This thing is not yours, but mine. You have been the strained and weak instrument."

Day 7 Intention: Today bring Me THE SOULS WHO ESPECIALLY VENERATE AND GLORIFY MY MERCY, and immerse them in My mercy. These souls sorrowed most over my Passion and entered most deeply into My spirit. They are living images of My Compassionate Heart. These souls will shine with a special brightness in the next life. Not one of them will go into the fire of hell. I shall particularly defend each one of them at the hour of death.

"Continuing in my usual state, blessed  Jesus  came  for  just  a  little,  and  told  me:  “My daughter,  the  souls  who  will  shine  the  most,  like  bright  gems  in  the  crown  of  my  mercy,  are  the souls  who  have  more  trust,  because  the  more  trust  they  have,  the  more  they  give  space  for  the attribute  of  my  Mercy  to  pour  into  them  any  grace  they  want.  On  the  other  hand,  the  soul  who does  not  have  true  trust,  herself  closes  the  graces  within  Me,  remaining  always  poor  and unequipped,  while  my  love  remains  constrained  within  Me,  and  I  suffer  very  much.  And  in  order not  to  suffer  so  much,  and  to  be  able  to  pour  out  my  love  more  freely,  I  deal  more  with  those souls  who  trust,  than  with  the  others.  With  these  I  can  pour  out  my  love,  I  can  play,  I  can  cause loving  contrasts,  since  there  is  no  worry  that  they  might  take  offense  or  become  fearful;  on  the contrary,  they  become  more  brave  and  take  everything  in  order  to  love  Me  more.  Therefore, trusting  souls  are  the  outpouring  and  the  amusement  of  my  love,  the  ones  who  receive  more graces,  and the richest.”" - Book of Heaven by Luisa Piccarreta

Day 6 Intention: Today bring Me THE MEEK AND HUMBLE SOULS AND THE SOULS OF LITTLE CHILDREN, and immerse them in My mercy. These souls most closely resemble My Heart. They strengthened Me during My bitter agony. I saw them as earthly Angels, who will keep vigil at My altars. I pour out upon them whole torrents of grace. Only the humble soul is capable of receiving My grace. I favor humble souls with My confidence.

“You  must  know  that  not  even  humility  exists  in  the  Divine  Will,  but  pure  nothingness,  which  knows  clearly  that anything  good  which  can  be  done  is  the  All operating  in  the  nothing. So  the  poor  nothing  is  in  the  act  of  being continuously  born;  it  is  the  All  that  grows  and  forms  Its  life  in  the  nothing.    Oh  power  of the  Divine  Will  –  as  soon  as  the soul  decides  and  wants  to  live  in  It,  the  Most  Holy  Trinity  takes  Its prime  operating  place  in  her.  And  since  this  is  an  Act of  Divine  Will,  all  want  their  place  of  honor  in  that Act:    the  Queen  of  Heaven,  the  Angels,  the  Saints, and  all  created things.    So,  with  one  single  Act  of  Divine  Will,  we  enclose  everything,  we  embrace everything,  and  we  give  everything  to God, even all  that the Eternal  Word did upon earth.    The goods which  descend  for  the benefit  of  all  are  incalculable.”

Day 5 Intention: Today bring to Me THE SOULS OF THOSE WHO HAVE SEPARATED THEMSELVES FROM MY CHURCH,* and immerse them in the ocean of My mercy. During My bitter Passion they tore at My Body and Heart, that is, My Church. As they return to unity with the Church, My wounds heal and in this way they alleviate My Passion.

Jesus told Luisa,
“My child,  after I gave everything, I wanted this lance to open a shelter for all souls inside this  Heart of Mine.  Opened, It will  cry out to all, continuously:  Come into Me if you want to be saved.  In this  Heart you will find sanctity  and you will make yourselves saints; you will find relief in afflictions, strength in weakness, peace in  doubts, company in abandonments.  O souls who love Me, if you really want to love Me, come  to dwell in this Heart forever.  Here you will find true love in order to love Me, and ardent flames for you to be burned and consumed completely in love.  Everything is centered in this Heart:  here  are the Sacraments, here my Church, here the life of my  Church  and the life of  all souls.  In It  I also feel the profanations made against my Church, the plots of the enemies, the arrows they send, and my  oppressed children – there is no offense which my  Heart does not feel.  Therefore, my  child, may your life be in this Heart defend Me, repair Me, bring Me everyone into It.”
