Dwight Dunagan is the EVP of Operations for Epinal, Inc. Dwight started with Epinal,Inc. on the advisory board based on his past experience in government and healthcare markets. Along with Epinal, Inc.; Dwight has had a successful Private practice in Laguna Niguel, California open for nearly a decade. The therapy team there serves numerous clients ranging from advanced, acute psychological symptoms through premarital and marriage counseling. Dwight is an accomplished executive with an extensive background in launching and running start up healthcare companies, large scale care facilities, (CCRCs, Senior Livings, Mental Health Centers, and SUD centers). Dwight has been a consultant for numerous corporations providing leadership, team development and product launch/market analysis guidance.
Prior to Epinal Dwight has completed various degrees to include a doctorate and bachelor's in psychology, a master's in public administration along with a masters in human resources. Dwight is a long-term member of the American Psychological Association (APA), Society of Human Resource Management (SRHM), and a host of other associations. Dwight has been a board member of several foundations with a generalized focus on helping veterans with a variety of needs. Dwight was a police officer and detective on the San Diego Police Department (SDPD) where he completed numerous specialized trainings such as P.E.R.T., NIMS, ICS 100-800, Terrorism Liaison Officer (TLO), advanced investigation and interrogation, and maintained an advanced P.O.S.T. Certificate for numerous years. During his time with Sdpd quite received two recommendations from the city, one from the county of San Diego, one from the Coast Guard, one from the county of Los Angeles, and more than 10 citizen combinations. It was also a drug recognition expert in the state of California and an expert witness for four years in the county of San Diego, specializing in narcotics and gang activity. Prior to his law enforcement career Dwight was an Intelligence Analyst and Human Intelligence Specialist (HUMINT) for the U.S. Army. He was a non-commissioned officer from 2001 to 2011 serving in numerous domestic and international commands. Dwight deployed to various countries, trained foreign militaries and police forces, and completed numerous specialized training schools (Airborne, Pathfinder, SERE-C, Ordinance, DLIFLC, and more). Dwight ended his military career as a Staff Sergeant in 2011 allowing him to join the SDPD. When asked, Dwight shares that his largest passion in life is teaching and mentoring. Beyond any other career he has had thus far he states this brings him the most joy.
