The influences are all around us. In TV, magazines and most definitely on every popular social media platform, the images of curves and slim waists, massive biceps and 6-pack abs and even in our own gyms. With all this in our faces, how can you possibly concentrate on the main goal at hand? To be healthy.
It's definitely fine to want a certain physique but these constant images can definitely defer people from taking their first steps(or next step) and have them trying to make unrealistic leaps. Thus, causing people to inevitably second guess, doubt, rethink or even quit their fitness journey. Don't let these things distract you or have you comparing yourself to others goals. Remember why you started your fitness journey. Be real with yourself and accept which stage you are currently in, use that as motivation and work your ass off to reach the next level.
You can exercise to just simply be healthy. You can workout to maintain. You're allowed to workout because you simply want to live longer.
Your goals don't have to be extravagant. But, if they are, don't forget that you have to take the necessary steps in order to reach the top. No one gets their dream body over night.
