Welcome to the Your Good News Podcast with Katherine Getty!
In this episode, I am joined by Amanda Crowell Itliong. Amanda is living with ovarian cancer for the 4th time in 13 years. Her first career was "helping nerds save the world" in Higher Education. After becoming disabled by cancer, she now uses whatever time she has left as a Patient Advocate, Speaker, and Cancer Disparities Researcher. Amanda also loves making homemade cards (of which no 2 are ever alike) and she calls her art work #NotDeadYetCreations.
In this episode, we talk about symptoms of ovarian cancer; how she navigates living with cancer; and how she finds joy in each day. We also talk about the language surrounding cancer and organizations to support.
