Trials and hurt can cause us to go from being people full of compassion to people who are cynical, hardened, and even vindictive. We tend to become very calloused toward those who have harmed us and indifferent to those in need. BUT NOT CHRIST! NOT EVER! Even if you have wronged Him, He has compassion. The invitation to be sheltered beneath His wings is for anyone who repents and believes in Him, even “religious” people who have continually spurned His love.
