Not all AHA! moments happen in distant countries; many happen right at home.  A look at what the father did when the younger son returned, and also at the heart of the older brother in our story.

Session #8-It’s Not Too Late

The third “lie” that the enemy would have you believe, to keep you from taking ACTION.  The first two are “it will all work out anyway” and “I’ll do it later”; the third one is perhaps the most devastating…”it’s too late for you”.  Don’t believe this lie, the powerful truth of the Prodigal Son story is…it is not too late!

It's Time To Get Up!

AHA!  Session #7: What Keeps Us From Action

The phrase for action in the Prodigal story is “so he got up”; but what is it that paralyzes us when we have those moments of sudden awakening, followed by experiences of brutal honesty, that keeps us from taking the action needed?  Why don’t all of our stories end with “so he got up”.  A look at two of the three things that keep us from following through with the last step of AHA!...ACTION.  (For the third one, you’ll have to tune in again next week!)

AHA! #5: I Have Sinned

Why is it so hard for any of us to say those three simple words?  And yet, as hard as they can be to honestly say, there is a FREEING that takes place when we do.  The important step of BRUTAL HONESTY includes facing the reality of our sin, our rebellion, or our putting God in second position.  Discover the freedom and release of being honest before God, from the story of the Prodigal Son.

When we get to the step of brutal honesty, there is a look in the mirror that can sometimes hurt. It's time to face yourself adn other things as they really are, its time for brutal honesty.
