Networking and Marketing Made Simple

Your LinkedIn Messaging Is The Issue...Not Your Content Itself

Listen Later

One of the biggest realizations I’ve had about LinkedIn recently is this:
Most people don’t have a content problem.
They have a messaging problem.
I see people posting consistently…
- Creating videos…
- Running polls…
- Sharing carousels and newsletters…
But the message inside the content is not connecting with the audience they actually want to attract.
That’s the difference.
LinkedIn is not about posting just to stay visible.
It’s about creating content with a clear purpose:
- Solving real problems
- Addressing real struggles
- Sharing real experiences
- Building know, like, and trust
If your audience cannot quickly understand:
- Who you help
- What you help them solve
- Why your insight matters
…the content will not convert into conversations.
One thing I’ve noticed from my recent content is this:
The posts performing the best are not the “perfect” ones.
They are the relevant ones.
- The polls asking specific questions.
- The case studies.
- The infographics breaking down problems people are actively struggling with.
- The trainings that provide practical action steps.
That is what creates engagement.
- Not random posting.
- Not trendy content with no substance.
- Not posting more just for the sake of frequency.
Quality and relevance will always outperform noise.
Your LinkedIn content should make your audience feel understood while also positioning you as the trusted expert who can help them move forward.
So before your next post, ask yourself:
Is this content actually helping someone solve a problem…
Or am I just posting to post?
