Disappointments happen to all of us. Sometimes they really hurt. However, we do not have to allow them to control our lives. Sometimes we may just have to alter our expectations. In the end we can yield our disappointments to the One who never disappoints. His name is Jesus. Do you know Him today? Have you heard He loves you and will never leave nor forsake you?

Oh taste and see that the Lird is good; blessed is that man who trusts in Him. PS 34:8

Temptations happen to all us. Every day we are bombarded with messages and images that can lead to sinful lusts. However, we do not have to give in to these temptations. Jesus was tempted by the devil and He used the Word of God as a weapon against temptation. We too can use this method. Guided by the Holy Spirit through reading, studying and meditating on the Word of God will strengthen us so we will not give in to temptation. Temptation is not sin. Many of us are very busy. Thus when God provides us with opportunities to help others we view them as intrusions. However, love is our daily duty. Today, God is going to send you someone who needs your help. Will you pass by on the other side?

Adam and Eve sinned in the garden of Eden. Therefore, sin became a part of our human reality. There was nothing we could do to erase our own sin and shame. However, Jesus came. He died on the cross and took care of the sin problem. Just an encouraging word to someone who, because of the hardships you face, have stopped listening to the Lord's voice and to hear his word. I pray these words will cause you to take another look at God, open your ears and your heart so you will hear him again.

Our heart is our connection to God, therefore we should never take for granted how fragile it is. Thus, the bible encourages us to guard our hearts with diligence because out of it are the issues of life.

As Christians we should do everything that we possibly can to stay connected to God. Our spiritual existence and continued faithfulness are dependent on our connection to Jesus, who is the vine. We are the branches. Christ wants to be a part of our daily existence. Therefore we should stay connected to Him

It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord. Gratitude turns what we have into enough and more. It will help us to grow and expand bring joy and laughter into our lives and into the lives of all those around us.
