  • YNS Live with Shelby & Christy | KeySocks

Listen to a new episode of Your Next Stop recorded live on Fireside with host Juliet Hahn featuring KeySocks' founders Christy Parry and Shelby McKee.

"Everything happens for a reason. It's authentic, it's real, and it's meant to be. All the pieces of the puzzle just come together."

Shelby McKee was getting ready to go to a Cincinnati Bengals football game on a brisk fall Sunday. Wanting to wear ballet flats and with the temperature falling, Shelby realized she wanted the comfort of a sock with the look of a no show. Traditional footies always fell off her feet, scrunched up in her shoe and never provided warmth; so armed with scissors and an idea, she cut a hole in a pair of knee-high dress socks and the Keysock was born!

Committed to seeing her dream become a reality for other women who have suffered long enough for fashion footwear, Shelby, along with her sister Christy Parry, created the only knee-high no-show socks that stay in place and out of sight. And the journey of a family business began.

You know, that phenomenon when your shoes "eat" your socks? Keysocks are the answer! At last, the solution for all women; better than simple footies and socks & for more reasons than you'd think! Keysocks are the very first & only knee-high no-show socks on the market. Knee-high length keeps socks from slipping, prevents blisters unlike traditional "footies" that slip. Comfort at last without sacrificing style!

Visit KeySocks at KeySocks.com. Check them out on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter.

  • YNS Live with NFL Thread feat. Morgan Thomas

Listen to a new episode of YNS Live with NFL Thread recorded live on Fireside with hosts Juliet Hahn and Cynthia Zordich featuring Morgan Thomas.

"Just knowing that you're a part of something with other families and other women, where you have gone through similar experiences. It's important to examine what those experiences can do to your health and how they can make certain individuals feel. It affects all of us. When one thing happens to one person, we're all affected." - Morgan Thomas

Originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, Morgan Thomas attended Spelman College for her undergraduate degree in Psychology. She now resides in Boynton Beach, Florida, and is completing her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Adler University. Thomas dedicates her mental health interests to suicide awareness, depression, anxiety, and destigmatizing mental health in minority communities.

As part of her doctoral completion, Morgan is currently working on a dissertation that studies race-related stress and experiences of racial discrimination on black adults, and differences by gender.

Morgan is also a part of the advisory board of FEM-FL (Family Experiences Managing Football Lives), a research initiative focused on the partners and spouses of current and former NFL players. The FEM-FL team is studying how these relationships affect many aspects of partners' lives, including their physical, mental, and emotional health, as well as their careers, in hope that gathering this information will lead to the development of a set of recommendations for supporting families of NFL players and other caregivers.

Morgan's future career goals include owning a private practice and obtaining a Master's degree in Psychopharmacology (to have the ability to prescribe medication).

Outside of professional interests, Morgan considers herself a "foodie", enjoys interior design, fitness, travel, dogs, plants, and her family. Morgan is happily married to JT Thomas III, retired NFL linebacker and current real estate investor.

  • Lyss Stern: Author, Founder of Divalysscious Moms

"If you don't try, you'll never know. The worst that could happen is that you fail. If you have an idea, just go for it." - Lyss Stern

In true New York fashion, Lyss Stern was all set for the birth of her first son: Her hair was blown out and her nails manicured. She was determined to keep her image of a chic New Yorker – no matter what. While settling into motherhood, Lyss realized that it was not impossible for a woman to maintain style, confidence, and "divalyssciousness" while caring for a baby. There had to be another way.

Lyss searched high and low, but she could not find a single company catering to the needs of a mother who didn't want to give up her high heels and make-up in order to embrace the life-changes brought by motherhood. So, Lyss combined her creative skills, chic sense of style, networking abilities, love of children, and dual master's degree in early education and communications, to create Divalysscious Moms.

In 2006, Lyss began writing a weekly column, Divalyssciously Yours, for the style section of The New York Sun, which discussed must-have products and upcoming events. She is the Lifestyle Correspondent for Cookie Magazine, sharing her extensive knowledge and advice on the magazine's media channel CookieVision and as a media correspondent on The Today Show, CNBC, MSNBC, and more. Lyss also writes the DivaLysst and appears frequently in parenting publications.

This spring brings the highly anticipated release of her book If You Give a Mom a Martini: 100 Ways to Find 10 Blissful Minutes for Yourself — the Harry Potter of mommy work, this release has moms clamoring for the pre-orders. Co-authored with the fabulous Julie Klappas, the book is filled with ingenious tips from high-profile mothers from around the country. Supermodel and supermom Christie Brinkley has written the foreword (and we love her for that).

Lyss lives in New York City with her husband, über talent manager Brian Stern, their two wonderful sons Jackson and Oliver, and their Wheaton Terrier, Zack Taylor. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Syracuse University, a Masters in Communications from New York University, and a Masters in Early Education from Hunter Graduate School. She is also the proud owner of a terrific sense of style and a wicked sense of humor.

Check out Lyss at DivaMoms.com and follow through on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
