In this episode we discuss how to tell if someone is a witch in these modern times. Most of the ways to know someone is a witch are from olden time but have a new twist. While witches are usually just like everyone else in appearance, we still have tells, if you know what to look for. Our beliefs unite us and our differences keep us interesting. Debbie and Geode get serious in this episode. We will share indicators that we may or may not fully believe, give you things to ponder and tips in finding like-minded witches. You may want to be a solitary witch or a member of a coven, either way you can find witchy sisters and brothers by looking beyond the mundane and seeing the Magik in those you encounter. We know what can happen when a house is haunted but what are the effects on the people that are haunted? Geode has watched the first episode of the new Netflix show “Haunted” and this brought up a much needed discussion. We discuss the mental, emotional, spiritual and physical effects of living through a haunting. We know a haunted person can experience fear, but many also experience depression, self-doubt, isolation and more. Where can you turn if you are haunted and don’t know anyone that believes you? We share our feelings on all of the above and more. We also encourage you to listen to stories of others and tell you own tales. Join us as we share stories of some of the many haunted houses that we have lived in. Is it the dwelling that is haunted or is the person a spirit magnet? We will discuss friendly ghost, irritated relatives, ghost dogs, evil entities and yelling sprits. Geode shares her “groups” theory of the ghost on the highway. We will also talk about YouTube videos fake and real. If you want to watch a good scary movie, Geode recommends the Korean zombie film “Train to Busan” and Debbie suggest the original version of “The Shining”. This episode was recorded in September so don't worry when you hear references to Labor Day.

It is the Halloween season, You see witches ever where you look. Are these "real" witches or just your neighbor and her kids play acting? Join us as Geode shares a list of the 10 sure signs that someone is a witch. Mind you, these were sure fire ways to spot a witch in the 16 and 1700s. We find these tests to be ridiculous but they were truly and seriously used back in the olden days to accuse and convict people of being witches. Geode and Debbie will share other equally silly things to look for when trying to determine if someone is a witch. Witches can be anywhere and anyone so you need this information! October 23, 2018 E11: BEKs, you hear um knockin but don't let um in!
What would you do if you have a 4 and 8 year old knock on you door on a winter night? What if they ask to come in and borrow your phone? What if they have no coats and is was 2am? What if you notice they have totally black eyes? After you hear this episode you may change what you would do. In this episode we describe and discuss Black Eyed Children/ Kids. Are they real, an urban legend, or a Tulpa? We will share their history, a few scary tales of BEK encounters, and give some theories of what they are. Are they aliens, ghosts, jinn or demons? Then we will ask you again to tell us what you would do in this situation. How can something so scary be so dang funny!?!? If a child with totally black eyes comes to your door this Halloween, what will you do?
Stay spooky and don’t open your doors to children with black eyes. Remember, ghost don’t bite but BEKs might!

Well, this quickie is not as quick as others but we hope you have time to enjoy it. This is the time of the year that communication with spirits of all kinds becomes more likely. The Veil between the physical and spiritual planes of existance is thinner this allows for more and eaiser interactions between mortal man and the spirit world. October 16, 2018 E10: Only the Shadow People know
You look up and see a black, human shaped form in your doorway. You realize that you can’t move. You see a tall, slim, blacker than black form with a hat, walking past your doorway. You run to the hall, you don’t see anyone and think, “Wait! I’m supposed to be alone here!” Was that a shadow person, a demon, an alien or a hallucination? We will discuss some of the types shadow people and some theories as to what they are. Debbie gives her recipe for Ghost Drop Soup and why she thinks Oklahoma is the most haunted state. We will discuss ghost at casinos and why we are skeptical of the psychologist theories about shadow people and psychics. Geode looked up Hypnagogic state and found it is said to be the transitional state between wakefulness and sleep. This is often the time when we experience lucid dreams, sleep paralysis and hallucinations. Geode and Debbie add “according to the “experts”. Stay spooky, remember that you can tell the shadow people to leave you alone and don’t forget to get a flea and tick collar for your werewolf! Goodbye!

October 10, 2018 E9: Clowns. Funny? I think not!
Coulrophobia is the fear of clowns. Not many people have it but many of us feel uncomfortable or ill at ease when seeing a clown. We will discuss the history of the fear of clowns and the concept of Uncanny Valley. Geode cautions Debbie to NOT wear a black body suit while walking down the road at night. Yikes, that could be deadly!
Geode recommends you watch “Tucker and Dale VS Evil” and suggest you skip the clown movie “Terrifier”. Debbie recommends the Wayans Brothers movie “A Haunted House”.
