Ivan Grauer is a highly experienced and respected pharmacist who has been a cornerstone of the Australian pharmacy landscape for nearly five decades. Since qualifying in 1976, Ivan has owned and successfully operated seven pharmacies, earning a strong reputation for excellence in community pharmacy operations and patient care.

Over the course of his career, Ivan has held several influential leadership roles. He served on the Board of Directors of Chemmart Pharmacies and was a member of the Buying Advisory Board for AMCAL, where he played a key role in guiding strategic direction and industry innovation.

In the mid to late 1990s, Ivan became a familiar presence on Australian television through his regular health segments on the Channel 9 Morning Show, where he shared professional insights with a national audience.

Having recently sold his pharmacy businesses, Ivan continues to contribute to the profession as a consultant and occasional locum pharmacist. His passion for pharmacy remains strong, and he is currently in the process of writing a book on community retail pharmacy - offering practical advice and strategies for improving pharmacy businesses based on his decades of firsthand experience.

Daniel Nasri is a consultant pharmacist, advisor and educator whose career reflects the power of reinvention. Daniel began his career in community pharmacy, where he spent over a decade supporting patients, fostering strong connections and managing busy pharmacy environments. While he found the work meaningful, Daniel eventually felt drawn to explore new ways of contributing to healthcare beyond the dispensary. 

Pursuing this shift, he became credentialed in Home Medicines Reviews (HMRs), sought out mentors, and embraced opportunities that aligned with his strengths, interests and values. Currently, Daniel's work spans general practice, HMRs, tertiary education and consulting for Primary Health Networks. 

He is particularly passionate about deprescribing, personalised medicine, social prescribing and mentoring pharmacists to craft careers that are fulfilling.

Lusi Sheehan is a wound care consultant, credentialed Home Medicines Review pharmacist, and educator. She holds a postgraduate qualification in Wound Care Management from Monash University and established pharmacy-based wound care and compression clinics across Western Australia. Lusi is the founder of The Wound Educator, a national platform dedicated to advancing wound care awareness and providing education and support for pharmacists to establish wound care services Australia-wide.

She currently serves on the PSA WA Branch Committee and the Credentialing Committee for Wounds Australia. She received the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (PSA) Innovative Pharmacist Award Winner in 2017 for establishing a pharmacy-led Wound Care Clinic and the PSA Early Career Pharmacist Development Award in 2019 for development of Professional Services.

Professor Lisa Nissen is Program Director and Taylor Family Chair of the Centre for Business and Economics of Health, University of Queensland. She has been a health practitioner, leader, educator, researcher, and implementation scientist in Australia for more than 25 years. 

Lisa's research has led to major health system change, including the introduction of immunisation services by pharmacists throughout Australia and implementation of prescribing competencies and frameworks for health professionals nationally. More recently she led a Queensland team who implemented pharmacists’ treatment for uncomplicated urinary tract infections. 

Her focus is on health service optimisation including scope of practice and Quality Use of Medicines. She is a Fellow of the both the Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia and the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia.

Nick Pincombe is a community pharmacist based in Samford and a passionate advocate for the health and wellbeing of veterans and first responders. Drawing on his unique background as both an ex-infantry officer and pharmacist, Nick addresses the complex health challenges faced by Australia’s veteran community through education, advocacy, and clinical practice.

Over a 12-year military career, Nick served in various roles including regimental postings, soldier training, disaster relief operations in Brisbane and Townsville, as well as operational deployments in Afghanistan. As he transitioned from service, he began his pharmacy degree, determined to use his lived experience to improve health outcomes for others.

Nick is the founder of the Veterans' Medication Review Service, a pioneering initiative that offers veterans nationwide accessible, referral-free consultations to review medications, improve health literacy, and explore holistic treatment options - including pathways for service-related claims and alternate therapies. In 2024, he was recognised as one of five national finalists for the TerryWhite Pharmacist of the Year award for his outstanding contributions to community health and suicide prevention.

He has also presented at the 2023 RANZCP Conference on the veteran experience with both conventional and psychedelic therapies. Nick is currently working with the Pro Patria Centre in Wagga on veteran-focused projects, including a documentary on traumatic brain injury and the development of a veterans’ retreat for psychedelic-assisted therapy. He recently completed a Graduate Certificate in Advanced Practice and Prescribing for Pharmacists and has joined James Cook University as part of the teaching team for future pharmacist prescribers.

Nick’s mission is clear: to empower patients - especially veterans - with the knowledge and tools to take ownership of their health and lead better lives.

Alex Shepherd is a Consultant Pharmacist with a passion for healthy ageing and a fierce dedication to flexible, patient-centred care. Juggling many hats - including HMR Consultant, WA Sales Representative for Bold Health, and mum to two energetic boys under four - Alex is proof that pharmacists can shape dynamic and fulfilling careers beyond the dispensary.

After years working in community pharmacy, Alex made the courageous shift to Home Medicine Reviews (HMRs) and Residential Care Reviews. Mitchell Everlyn is an accredited, practising pharmacist and qualified diabetes educator. Mitchell completed his Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) (Majoring in Clinical and Experimental Therapeutics), at UQ in 2016. In his professional career, Mitchell has managed several pharmacies and compounding labs across Queensland. To better equip the needs of his community, Mitchell then went and studied two natural medicine degrees at the University of Tasmania. 

Mitchell spends most of his time as a Locum and home medication review pharmacist across QLD. Mitchell has several publications in InTheKnow pharmacy journal and has presented at APSA-ASCEPT. Mitchell has previously taught at UQ, UNE and QUT.

Marissa Stelmaschuk is a General Practice Pharmacist based in Townsville, Queensland. A graduate of James Cook University, she began her career at Townsville University Hospital, where she served as a clinical pharmacist for over a decade. In 2022, she joined North Shore General Practice, delivering integrated, non-dispensing pharmacy services within a multidisciplinary team. 

Marissa is actively involved in the Older Persons Medication Management Pilot Project, a collaboration between Northern Queensland Primary Health Network and the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia, aimed at enhancing medication safety for older Australians. She is also engaged in research initiatives like the ACTMED trial, focusing on medication safety improvements in primary care. 

Beyond her clinical work, Marissa contributes to pharmacy education as a lecturer at James Cook University.

Kenneth Cheng is the Product Manager at MedAdvisor Solutions. Kenneth is a product leader with extensive experience across healthtech, retail and eCommerce, developing products used by millions of users.

Kenneth began his career as a community pharmacist, working at a busy metropolitan pharmacy before his interest in technology led him to building new clinical systems for a large pharmacy chain in Australia. From there, Kenneth has worked across multiple products ranging from digital health mobile apps, eCommerce marketplaces, booking systems and SaaS clinical workflow tools for health professionals.

Karalyn Huxhagen is a community pharmacist and a consultant pharmacist. Karalyn performs locum services, medication reviews and delivers quality use of medication programs mainly in rural and regional Australia.

Karalyn has a strong interest in immunisation and provision of injectables in community pharmacy, pain management, asthma and COPD, aged care, wound care, travel medicine, chronic disease programs and the health of aboriginal, Torres Strait and South Sea Islander people. Karalyn is credentialed in Mental Health First Aid, and she provides immunisation and vaccination services as a community pharmacist.
