Prayer is not a monologue where we do all the talking. Genuine prayer is a two-way conversations with the God who wants to speak with us.
The Bible teaches that God is a Spirit. He moves in the spiritual realm (John 4:24). Everything God has provided by His grace is already a reality in the unseen realm. However, whether they ever manifest in the physical realm depends on our ability to receive, not on God’s willingness to give.
The world states that “seeing is believing” but the absolute truth of God’s Word makes it crystal clear that “believing is seeing” when Jesus Christ is Lord of your life. Yes, “we walk by faith, not by sight.”
Adversity can either be a paralyzing burden or a bridge to a more intimate relationship with the Lord. You decide.
Does your perception of God and Jesus match biblical descriptions, or have you made a ‘god’ of your own imagination and liking? What will you do with the truth about Jesus? What is at stake if you reject it? What is in store for you if you believe it?
When your emotions are drained, your heart is heavy, your body is weary, and you’re feeling discouraged, hopeless, and greatly burdened, where do you seek relief?
Have you suffered a deep hurt that is still affecting you today? How have you dealt with it so far? How has rehearsing the wrong in your mind affected your pain? What stops you from forgiving? What steps can you take to begin the process?
Loneliness is an epidemic in our society. How does the Bible address loneliness? How does one overcome it? Grab your Bible and something to write with. Listen to today’s episode and find out.
In order to determine if prayer is a priority, ask yourself: How often do I pray? How confident are you that the Lord will answer your requests? What does God’s Word say about His faithfulness in answering prayer? What do you think would happen if, instead of moaning and complaining, you approached God with a thankful heart?
We’re often tempted to give up or walk away when situations become exceedingly difficult or painful. However, believers are called to follow Christ’s example of endurance and perseverance through hardship. Through Him, ultimate victory is assured.
