My guest today is John Signorino, John created a robot-like device that punches and helps improve reaction time.
John has always been into fitness and improving it along with improving his skills in a vast array of activities, one being, the science of fighting. He has an associate's degree in electronics and worked in that field for about 7 years. From that, he went into an engineering company and did field service work traveling the world. “They liked me so much they had me doing a lot of the engineering designs.” It was from that job I learned a ton about engineering by their teachings and studying it on my own. The job involved electronics, mechanics, and pneumatic equipment. After 20 years with them, the recession of 2008 put them in survival mode and they regretfully had to lay me off. It is at that point I decided to work on a device that punches back to train on. LONG story short, after about 5 years of use and improvements, it finally reached a point that it has been basically bulletproof. It has to give abuse and take abuse from the trainee and still work through it all in many of thousands of cycles. That is not an easy thing to do.
