Many people are deeply concerned about this worldwide pandemic. They are often fearful of what the future holds for them and their loved ones. Sadly, there are many that will fear the pandemic than they fear God. The Bible teaches that the “fear of God” is the beginning of Wisdom and of Understanding. On this edition of the program, Bob shares his thoughts about not being deceived or taken advantage of, but most important, to find hope in these very troubled times.

There was a time that radio made a huge impact on our world and our lives. Even though radio still commands a large audience globally, things have changed over this past half century or more. AM Radio is now celebrating around 100 years of service. Along with AM and FM radio, Shortwave Radio, in use for at least 90 years, has a unique place in history and even today. For decades shortwave radio was the link to many oppressed nations, and a way to communicate to a world-wide audience. On this program Bob welcomes Dan Robinson. Dan was with the Voice of America for 34 years, with 4 years as the Whitehouse Correspondent. Dan shares some of his memories and his thoughts about International Radio.

On the Weekend Edition of Truth to Ponder, Bob takes a break from “political parties,” and focuses on some of the strange issues that are increasingly defining our western world, and its implications soon. How did we get to this point? Can we ever turn back?

This program marks the 40th episode of “Truth to Ponder.” In these 8 weeks Bob has covered a number of topics, but today wants you to understand his concerns for the future of how this program and others can be heard. The Tech Giants are increasingly showing hostility to Christians on their platforms, so it is time for a plan.

On this Friday edition of the program Bob takes some time to share some thoughts and observations from the heart. Friday, October 16th, marked Bob’s 66th Birthday. On the first half of the program he shares some thoughts about our world and the increasingly rapid changes. On the second half of the program, Bob shares the story and circumstances of his birth. On the Friday and Weekend Edition of Truth to Ponder, Bob welcomes Pastor Joseph Jacowitz.  Born in New York City into a conservative Jewish family. He was converted to Christ in 1976 while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps as a marksmanship instructor. At the time he was preparing to attend rabbinical seminary when discharged from the Marines. He has been the pastor of Christ Bible Church in Pleasanton, CA, since 1990. On the Friday edition Bob brings back his guest from Monday and Tuesday, Rev. Dr. Timothy Gahles. The first two programs of this week focused on what could be happening with using COVID-19 as a gateway to some type of “mark” to show you are “safe.” We live in a time that is unprecedented, yet we should not be in a state of fear. In spite of all the difficulties, there is hope.

There is so much happening in the news today that it is often hard to keep up. Bob spends some time looking at some of the stories influencing our lives and digs for the truth in a sea of intentional misinformation and deceit.
