YOU’RE AFRAID TO SPEAK WITH CONVICTION

We all have a certain tone of voice we use when we’re trying to position ourselves as an authority.

A friend of mine calls that his wife’s "teacher voice."

We use it when we’re leading, managing, or directing others. When we want to be show the energy of purpose and intention.

We use it because want others to "hear" that we know what we’re talking about.

We also use it as a way to protect ourselves.

Sometimes, if we’re talking to someone that wants to be on the same level as us, such as a friend or close family member, they may accuse us of being TOO authoritative, or confrontational when we use that voice.

When it comes time for us to speak about something we’re REALLY passionate about, we feel that same rush of purpose and intention.

Here’s why we’re too afraid to (speak with conviction).
