End time prophecy tells us that there will arise "the Man of Lawlessness."

But until then, everything will be peace and harmony, right? Absolutely not! And we're seeing lawlessness like we've not seen maybe ever. We're seeing violent behavior from people no one would expect to be the perpetrators.

We discuss in length moral relativism as opposed to moral absolutes and each of their sources. The "I do whatever I want to do whenever I want to do it" mentality is causing anarchy all across the country and the world. And the worst of it is, "And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold," Matthew 24:12.

Each new sitting President is evaluated after they've been in office for 100 days so we've taken the time to research what we've seen happen and what the media is reporting for President Donald Trump.

Proverbs states "The king's heart is a strem of water in the hand of the Lord: He turns it wherever He will." As believers, we believe what Paul wrote in Romans, "There is no authority except from God."

With this in mind, we pray for our representatives and leaders, but especially our President. The promises and policies should be for the benefit of our nation and what has been happening has caused some people to "go off the deep end" in opposition.

"Promises made, promises kept" is the mantra of this present administration. We look at those promises upon which President Trump ran his campaign and then evaluate if those promises were more than just smoke.

The Bible commands that we forgive as we've been forgiven. That's quite a challenge sometimes when we've been severely wronged.

But the question remains, can we forgive And forget? The Bible clearly states in both the New and Old Testament that God chooses to not remember our sins when we repent. The Bible emphatically declares Him saying He "will" remember our sins no more.

How about us? Can we really choose to not only forgive but to also forget wrongs? Jay and Tom discuss this in depth. And then they take it a step further, all clearly commanded by Jesus' very words.

Forgiving AND forgetting can reap wonderful benefits for the believer.

There is nothing more important than prayer - for a believer or an unbeliever.

For the unbeliever, it's the introduction to the God who loves them so much that He paid the sin penalty and set them free. It starts by asking.

For the believer, it's so much more than bringing a "grocery list" of requests to God. But even with this paradigm, so many Christians don't spend quality time with their heavenly Father.

Jay and Tom also discuss prayer when the Church gets together. So many people are afraid to pray out loud, while others reverently bow their heads, close their eyes, maybe even fold their hands, and wait for someone to pray.

That's not completely wrong but it is so elementary. When the Body learns what it means to dive into a "symphony of prayer, there is a storming of heaven as well as the gates of hell. We're not told to be pious in prayer but to come boldly before the throne of God.

When we pray, just like when we worship, we enter the actual presence of God. When we realize that, it's no longer "long distance" to speak with Him.

For some people, prayer is an enigma. We can't see God, touch Him, or hear Him in the physical so how do we even know prayer even works?

Prayer is raw faith. And without faith, according to Hebrews 11, it's impossible to please Him...but He rewards those who diligently seek Him.

If we're going to be mature followers of Jesus Christ, we need be more than "Gab it and grab it" prayers. We need to understand and followthrough with what Jesus taught when the disciple asked Him to teach them how to pray.

The apostle Paul wrote to the Thessalonians to "pray without ceasing. Jesus taught the parable of the woman hounding the unrighteous judge to illustrate praying and not losing heart.

Prayer is spiritual warfare, pulling down strongholds and fighting back the onslaught of our enemy who seeks to kill, steal, and destroy not only you but your family, friends, church, community, and nation. Like the old chorus says: "Why worry when you can pray? Trust Jesus, He'll be your stay."

Prayer is not optional for a true follower of Jesus. But if you see it from God's perspective, just like breathing unceasingly, prayer will become an integral part of your nature. James 5:13-16 ends with, "The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working." (ESV) Or, for the KJV readers, "The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much."

James says it straight: Prayer is power. And not our power but God's power flowing through us as we pray "Your kingdom come, Your will be done."

Ever get "ripped off" by a vending machine? You put your money in but get nothing out of it?

Some people see prayer that way. They come to God and ask Him for stuff but He doesn't seem to come through by saying "yes" to their laundry list of requests..especially according to their timetable. We call God, "Father," but too often treat him like a bellhop.

One of the disciples asked Jesus to teach them how to pray, so Jesus did, and then expounded on it in the book of Luke, chapter 11.

This week Jay and Tom began a two-part series that will confirm or challenge your prayer life. "Any time, any where, about any thing" is the key. However, there are some hinderances to pray and reasons we actually choose not to pray.

God said we can come boldly to the throne but He didn't mean brashly. Faith and humility are vital to an effective prayer life.

If God is truly the creator, omnipotent, omniscient, all-mighty, and indwelling lover of our souls, then we need to examine our hearts and see just how much we communicate with Him.

Your birthday isn't the same day every year. That's because you don't actually celebrate your birth day but your birth date. There's a big difference.

We celebrate Resurrection Day on the same day each year, adjusting for spring equinox but not the same date. However, there's another issue with what we call Holy Week.

Three days in the tomb is hard to cipher if Jesus died on Good Friday and rose on Resurrection Sunday. Many have tried to explain the scripture verse where Jesus said He would be in the tomb three days, as Jonah was in the Great Fish.

This week's discussion shows us that there's a difference between tradition and scriptural accuracy. And the point isn't to prove tradition wrong as much as explain what the Bible states and why there's a difference between the two.

If we're going to present the Word as God's infallible truth, then we need to set the record straight, even if we don't mess with tradition.

When he came into relationship with Jesus, his transformation was more than just faith in Jesus but he had an incredible change of heart. He made a commitment to restore fourfold to those he defrauded.

Restitution is something that many preachers gloss over.

We want forgiveness for our sins but we neglect both the Old Testament and New Testament commands to repay. Money, possessions, even reputation must be restored to the one offended if we really want to walk in the freedom of our salvation.

The path is repentance, confession, restitution, restoration, and reconciliation. Each part is vital if we are going to be a light to the world and a Body fitly joined together.

We need to be real in our walking in step with the Spirit.

Devolution is the descent or degeneration to a lower or worse state.

The opposite of evolution.

Recently, a televised government meeting showed us a clear example of this devolution.

It's one thing for politics to be partisan but we seem to have lost the ability to respect each other. And unfortunately, the people involved are representative of what is happening in society in general.

As believers, we need to operate on a different level. Christians using the word "hate" when referring to someone goes against God's Word. Sowing seeds of discord by our words and actions is an affront to God as well as a terrible testimony to those who are not walking with Christ.

Preachers who use their pulpit to denigrate and castigate individuals is a misuse of their calling. People seem to relish operating in the Gift of Criticism.

This devolution is so evident in our attitude toward authority.

Leaders and representatives are ridiculed when they should be prayed for. Fellow citizens who should seek to find unity are focusing on areas of disagreement instead.
