We're going off on a tangent...
Join us as we venture around ALL of the houses in our discussions about, and inspired by, the first part of episode 6 including harmful heteronormality, confessions and shoe storage.
TW: discussions about eating animals that may not be comfortable for dedicated animal lovers or those who choose not to consume animal products.
Join us over on our brand new, official Insta: @aheartstopperpodcast to let us know your thoughts, feelings or just to say hi! And please give us a like, share us or drop a review on your fave podcast platform.
Tired and emotional...
The feelings are being felt hard as we wrap up episode 5, including discussions about generational acceptance, having someone's back and the benefits of journalling.
Songs for the playlist:
Paper Mache World by Matilda Mann
I Want To Be With You by Chloe Moriondo
If you want to help us to keep going, like, share and review on your podcast apps and please keep getting in touch through Insta: @aheartstopperpodcast
It's getting complicated!
This week, we dive deep into the first half of Episode 5, while also veering wildly off topic! Expect yet more debate on binary fashion and school uniforms, the complexities of family relationships and Monopoly.
There are, as always some great tracks to add to your playlists (if you're able to):
Urbanangel1999 by Thomas Headon
If You Want by Beabadoobee
Buzzkill by Baby Queen
And if anyone can identify the mystery song from the opening of the episode - jump on to Insta: @aheartstopperpodcast to let us know (or just say 'hi')!
We did it in one!
It's a slightly longer episode this week, but we managed to discuss Series 1 Episode 4 in full so we're feeling pretty pleased with ourselves! This week, we take on topics such as school survival games, giving people the time they need and 'she who must not be named' all whilst picking apart the episode that brings us to the halfway point of series 1.
Your new playlist tracks are:
What's It Gonna Be? by Shura
Heart by Flor
We'd love it so much if you could drop us a like, review or share and tell all of your friends! Swing by and say hi on Insta: @aheartstopperpodcast
IT'S ALL TOO MUCH!
We have some very strong responses as we discuss the second half of episode 3. The conversation goes deep with talk about the daily fears for those living outside of the binary, finding your place in the world and yet more dirty shoes.
Absolutely phenomenal songs to add to the playlist this week:
Clearest Blue by Chvrches
Alaska (Toby Green Remix) by Maggie Rogers
Keep the love, and awesome contributions, coming through Insta:@aheartstopperpodcast and feel free to leave reviews and share with your friends via your Podcast apps.
Uh oh, we've done it again...
I think we just might have to accept that this is a thing. We had too much to say about episode 3, so we've cut it into 2 parts again. We get into it about multi-generational queer experiences, calling out hate speech and playing Mario Kart with Olivia Colman.
New tracks for the playlist are:
My Own Person by Ezra Williams
Telephone by Waterparks
If you're enjoying our deep dives into Heartstopper and think others would to, please feel free to leave a review and share with your friends. And we'd love to hear about it so swing by Insta: @aheartstopperpodcast
Why am I like this?
We wrap up our breakdown of episode 2 which means we finally get to discuss the song, and the moment, that have been haunting us for 2 weeks! We also talk queer representation on TV from the past 25 years, having friends you can be open around and punctuating text messages.
The iconic song from the end of this episode is:
Why Am I Like This? by Orla Gartland.
Feel free to add it to your Heartstopper playlist and listen to it on repeat like Luke and Indigo have!
If you're enjoying listening to us talk and talk then please 'like' the podcast, perhaps leave a review, tell all your friends and fellow Heartstopper fans and most of all, drop in to the Insta: @aheartstopperpodcast
Thank you so much to all of the new Yellow and Blue Crew members who have already stopped by to say 'hi'!
Thanks for coming back!
This week, we start discussing S1E2 of Heartstopper. We hit all manner of topics including LGBTQ+ education, an A* first date and how Charlie ties his shoes. But here's the kicker - we talked about SO much stuff that we ran out of time, so this is part 1 of a 2 part chat! You'll have to join us next week for the rest of our thoughts about this amazing episode.
In the meantime, check out the songs mentioned from this episode:
Sappho by Frankie Cosmos
Girls by girl in red
Dance with Me by beabadoobee
Remember, you are all part of the Yellow and Blue Crew so if you want to get in touch, please do! @aheartstopperpodcast on Insta is the best way to do it.

The Yellow and Blue Crew sit down to talk all things S1E1 of Heartstopper.
Section 28, trans representation, 'fast' running - they're all up for discussion in this deep, deep dive into the first episode of the hit Netflix series.
If, like Luke, you're compiling a 'Music from Heartstopper' playlist then make sure you add these tracks:
Want Me by Baby Queen
Lovesick by Peace
