Jesus didn't wait for people to clean themselves up. And neither should we.
What if the most important thing you could do with your life was simply to show up for the people around you, especially the messy ones?
In this message, College Pastor Scott Manning walks through Luke 19:11-27 β the Parable of the Ten Minas β where Jesus tells a story about a king who entrusts his servants with something valuable before he leaves, and then returns to see what they did with it. But before he even gets to the parable, we see Jesus stop everything to pursue Zacchaeus β a guy everybody else had written off.
That's the kind of God we serve. And the invitation inside this passage is for everyone β whether you've grown up in church your whole life or you feel like you're too far gone for any of this to be for you.
Here's what this message digs into:
π€ Why Jesus actively pursues the messiest, most overlooked people β and what that means for how we live
π€ The honest difference between building your own thing and joining something so much bigger than yourself
π€ Why so many of us keep waiting for the "right time" to say yes to Jesus β and what that's actually costing us
π€ Simple, real ways to start living with purpose and joy β not someday, but now
Scott gets refreshingly honest in this one β talking about years he spent avoiding the things that mattered most. If you've ever felt written off, too far gone, or just not sure Jesus is really for someone like you β come as you are. This message is for you.

Luke 19:11-27
When he returned, having received the kingdom, he ordered these servants to whom he had given the money to be called to him, that he might know what they had gained by doing business.
The first came before him, saying, βLord, your mina has made ten minas more.β And he said to him, βWell done, good servant! Because you have been faithful in a very little, you shall have authority over ten cities.β
And the second came, saying, βLord, your mina has made five minas.β And he said to him, βAnd you are to be over five cities.β
Then another came, saying, βLord, here is your mina, which I kept laid away in a handkerchief; for I was afraid of you, because you are a severe man. You take what you did not deposit, and reap what you did not sow.β He said to him, βI will condemn you with your own words, you wicked servant! You knew that I was a severe man, taking what I did not deposit and reaping what I did not sow? Why then did you not put my money in the bank, and at my coming I might have collected it with interest?β
And he said to those who stood by, βTake the mina from him, and give it to the one who has the ten minas.β And they said to him, βLord, he has ten minas!β βI tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given, but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away. But as for these enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, bring them here and slaughter them before me.ββ
