Maddison Hinson-Tolchard, a junior on the OSU Cowgirl golf team, joins the podcast fresh off her experience in the ISPS Handa Australian Open. She and JT chop it up about the joys of Australian sand-belt  golf, the pros and cons of a mixed event and just how glorious Cameron Smith's mullet is in person! The two then circle back to talk about Maddy's background and route to Stillwater, talking about the ups and downs of the OSU golf experience in 2022 (spoiler alert: more ups than downs!), and what life is like for a college golfer. They finish up by talking about Maddy's experience in the US Women's Amateur at Chambers Bay which leads JT down the golf course rabbit hole listing off all the big time courses she got to play in 2022. Plus a Short Par 4 segment with the reigning Big 12 Player of the Year that is not to be missed!

We prep for Tiger Woods playing THREE TIMES in December by recapping the LPGA's "tour championship" CME Globe with our pro golfer contributor Hannah Screen. We then shift to another historic happening at the DP World Tour Championship, where Jon Rahm takes home the title but Rory bags the season long crown becoming the first world #1 to win it along with Fed Ex Cup in same season. Part two of the "State of Oklahoma Golf" pod series sees the publisher of Golf Oklahoma magazine, Ken MacLeod, join for a one-on-one interview with JT!  JT and Ken talk about the "origin story" of Golf Oklahoma as it marks its 30th year (wowzers!) in publication, how things have changed over those three decades, what Ken envisions going forward.  The guys discuss upcoming projects, upcoming golf events to the state, and rehash that wonderful week at Southern Hills earlier this year during the PGA Championship!  And of course, you know JT wouldn't let Ken slip away without playing a round of the "Short Par 4"... Happy Halloween folks, and it's absolutely "scary" at just how short this podcast is as the guys all have trick-or-treating duties this evening!!!  They kick things out with a hearty congratulations to a pod favorite, Seamus "See-muss" Power who wins for the 2nd time on Tour down in Bermuda!  The guys then jump over to the LIV golf finale down at Doral in Miami, as DJ appears to be the big winner in the inaugural season of the rebel tour.  But the boys ask, has LIV shot its shot already?  What's next in year 2?  Do we still (or did we ever) care??  There's a new #1 on the LPGA Tour, the Sooners say mahalo to Maui, and the guys give some tips/talk up fall/winter golf in Oklahoma (it's really enjoyable)!  Lastly, Keith and Scott recap their recent golf trips to Hawaii/Las Vegas, and then the boys make their picks for the Mayakoba this weekend down in Mexico!  All this, and not much more honestly, on this week's abbreviated--but spooky--YSO podcast!!!

UK correspondent Hannah Screen joins the pod with Scooter and Keith off exploring the golf world. Rory McIlroy re-ascends to world #1 with his victory at the CJ Cup. Congaree Golf Club showed out as did 15 of the top 20 in the world. Another world #1 spot was up for grabs in Korea at the BMW Ladies Championship. 19 year old phenom Atthaya Thitikul just missed the T-4 or better needed to become the top ranked women's player in the world when our girl Lydia Ko dropped 65 on Sunday to win her 18th LPGA title. We then take a deep dive into college golf covering last week's Big 12 Men's Match Play and the (VERY) recently concluded Jim West Challenge. At tail end of the pod, we talk about Hannah's reverse course to make a go of it in professional golf!

The boys are up in T-town playing in the First Tee of Tulsa's big annual event at the hallowed halls of Southern Hills Country Club!  They kick things off by chatting with First Tee Executive Director, Janice Gibson, who shares some great stories about the impact that the First Tee program in Tulsa has had for over 8,000 (really!) kids in the Tulsa Metro!  After that, Scotty G joins Keith and J-Teal as the guys recap the loveable Tom Kim's 2nd win on Tour out in Vegas as the Shriners, plus they dap up the low amateur at the event, OU's own Vinny Welch!  The guys do some recappin' and previewin' of the OSU and OU mens' and womens' golf squads and then it's all about that Southern Hills life, as Scooter gets to play it for the first time!  All that and so much more on this week's YSO podcast!!!

The boys are all back together in "Studio 1A" to talk some golf!  Things get kicked off by recapping some links golf across the pond at the Dunhill and how Ryan Fox survived some tough conditties on Friday and held off Rory, Alex Noren and a robust Euro field!  Next, the guys discussed the victory by everyone's favorite Canadian, Mac Hughes, down at the Sanderson this weekend in Jackson, MS!  And later on, the guys checked in on some big-time college golf being played in the DFW area this week, as Wichita State was at Trinity Forest, while the OU and OSU men were in a star-studded, jacked field at Colonial and the Ben Hogan Invitational!  But this pod was mainly about the Congregation, and the YSO family came out big winners as our man, Scotty G, slipped on his first green jacket in Woodward at one of our favorite places, Boiling Springs!  The boys talk through the whole weekend, including some night golf, great food, and all the superlatives of yet another fantastic Congregation tourney!  Tons of thanks to Jeff Wagner and the BSGC crew for rolling out the red carpet yet again, as the only thing better than the course conditions were the people involved!  We're already looking forward to next year's Cong, just like always!  All that, and so much more on this week's YSO podcast!!!
