Shineika Fareus is from New London Ct. Throughout her short years in the New London Community, she has made it an important task to be active and work alongside many other elected officials and other youths to make policy changes in the public school system. As a senior in High School, she traveled to Haiti with Connecticut College students to conduct research and direct a documentary titled From a Valley of Talol based on the foster care system in Haiti that is often referred to as the restavek system. This passion of hers has led her to the path of studying Political Science and Sociology as a Clarendon Scholar at Gordon College while continuing to advocate for change in GCSA as the Freshman Class Representative and currently as the Vice President of Student Life. During her sophomore year, she has been an active member in the Multicultural Affairs Committee with faculty and staff working on the Shalom Statement and the campus climate survey, a council member in charge of facilitating Sankofa session for Afro-Hamwe, one of the co-founders of Dear Neighbor, a student ambassador, recruiting assistance for admission, an intern for the office of Student Life. She does all that work because she likes knowing that in the world of social justice she is fighting a battle that she may never see the result of, but that's not a reason to give up !

Mitsuka Attys is an 23 year old second-year law student and future attorney. She is a mentor to many, a singer, songwriter and recording artist, and blogger. Mitsuka is passionate about Public Health, serving the Haitian-American community, and enjoys educating others about healthy relationship dynamics from a Christian lens. Additionally, Mitsuka uses her digital platforms as a means to engage with and advise youth on how to maintain a positive image as a professional and a Christian.

Chad is the Youth Director of the Michigan Conference. He has a passion for telling others about a God who loves them very much. Pastor Chad has also spent 21 years teaching young people from grades Pre-K through College. He currently is working on a Ph.D. in Leadership & Innovation at Andrews University and is developing a new process to organizing youth ministries at the local church level. He is married to the love of his life, Melinda and has an amazing daughter named Adelaide and a super-cool dog named Gus.

Karly is the Pathfinder director of Brockton Temple in Brockton Massachusetts. The club is vibrant and going to Oshkosh but what really drew me to them is their interesting fundraiser. It was a fashion show.... but it is a Haitian church ! So I had to hear how were they able to do it. Karly is a young leader and doing amazing things !

Now that the podcast has reached the milestone of 25 episodes I share two interviews that I had with young ladies from my home church. The first one is with Nehemie who I have seen become a young adult in the church. She was active in youth ministry serving as a leader in pathfinder ministry but now is focusing on her school career and her pursuit to become a doctor. I strongly believe she shares some wise words through her humility. 

Jenny and Medjine are also two young ladies that I have seen serve the local church as leaders. They are still doing so and voice their frustrations to me. I ask that you listen with an open heart and learn from their frustrations as I did. Lastly my point about letting young people vent is critical !

 Carldine L. Jean-Francois was born in Brockton Massachusetts to Haitian SDA parents. She is 24 years old. She received her BA in Social Work, and minor in Psychology from Eastern Nazarene College. Today, she is an author, speaker, mentor, and more. She is very involved in youth and young adult ministries.

She knew since she was a child that she wanted to help people.
