KVMR Youth News Corps reporter Kennedy Lyman found herself curious about the state of athletics in public high schools. Are girls and boys teams being equally supported, funded, and championed? Is anyone even keeping track? She set out to ask, what she thought, were simple questions and find answers, but it turned out to be much more difficult than she had anticipated.

Youth New Corps reporter, Kennedy Lyman dives into Northern California's recent measles cases, as well as the community's immunization records. To emphasize the importance of the measles vaccine, Kennedy talked to the Nevada County Public Health Officer, Dr. Sherilynn Cooke, as well as the Principal and Secretary of Grizzly Hill Elementary School. 

Lou Conter died on April 1st and was given full military honors at his funeral on Tuesday at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in Grass Valley. 

Youth News Reporter Gabby Gerster gets to know more about life inside the first panadería in Nevada County, Panadería Matilija, that recently opened on York Street in downtown Nevada City. Owner and Bay Area local Stephanie Gogobachi touches on her journey up to the mountains, her experience in the first month of opening, and her plans to further the outreach of the panadería.

Youth News Corps Reporter Graham Gardemeyer brings us coverage of Grass Valley's Measure B (Sales Tax Increase). The Nevada Union High Schooler speaks with Grass Valley Vice Mayor Hilary Hodge and Nevada County Clerk-Recorder Natalie Adona.
