कदाचित् कश्चन युवकः साक्रेटीसम् उपसर्प्य यशस्वितायाः रहस्यं पृच्छति । अनन्तरदिने साक्रेटीस् दर्शयति यत् - 'यशस्विता परिश्रमम् अपेक्षते, सङ्घर्षप्रवृत्तिम् अपेक्षते । श्रद्धा, प्रयत्नः, परिश्रमः, सङ्घर्षप्रवृत्तिः इत्येते एव यशस्विताप्राप्तेः उपायाः । एतेषु यदि एकः अंशः न स्यात् तर्हि यशस्विता न प्राप्येत' इति ।

Once, a young man approached Socrates and asked him about the secret to success.
