My Taiwan Story
As much as I’d like to think that I have a good self-cultural awareness of my Taiwanese heritage from an early age, I’m still discovering new things at my age now about who I am and what the past generations before me had to struggle to overcome. I’ve also started to think about my young nieces and nephews who all came back to visit the last two years, specifically about what they really know about Taiwan aside from bubble tea and stinky tofu.
Vivienne Chang is the co-author of “This is Not My Home” where she drew inspiration from growing up as a Taiwanese American. She actually reached out to me about coming on the show and I was honored to have been able to interview such a driven young woman like her (*Vivienne is still finishing college!)
Join me this Friday to find out more about Vivienne as we share the parallel universe of our Taiwanese American experience. You can get your copy of “This is Not My Home” through various online platforms including here
Viennie是一個在北加土生土長的ABT(America Born Taiwanese)!
