Bava Kamma #68-מחלוקת ר״י ור״ע בדין מיטב ב׳ - Feb 7, 2019 - Today we mostly reviewed our מהלך in understanding the Gemara through the lens of "לפי מידה". With this, we answered a number of questions and had a better read of the שקלא וטריא. We continued with the next Gemara as well, where the Gemara offers a new understanding of ר״י.

Bava Kamma #67-חייב מבעי ליה ומחלוקת ר״ע ור״י בדין מיטב - Feb 6, 2019 - Today we saw two new Gemaras on ו׳ ע״ב, the first about the language of "חב" in the Mishna, and the second being about the מחלוקת between ר״י and ר״ע about what the דין מיטב really is. We looked more into the original understanding of ר״י's opinion, and how it is dependent on a concept called "לפי מדה".

Bava Kamma #66-צד השוה לאתויי מאי: שיטת הרא״ש בצד השוה - Feb 5, 2019 - Today, we went back into how to understand the רא״ש vs. the יש גדולים שאמרו in how to learn the דינים of a צד השוה. We presented the גרי״ז's understanding of the רא״ש, asked a number of questions, and presented an alternative understanding. With this, we explained a number of other previously difficult sources.

רמב״ן על התורה-The Timing and Purpose of the Mishkan - Feb 4, 2019 - We read and analyzed the the Ramban's introduction to the Parsha, where he describes the significance of the Mishkan being commanded after מעמד הר סיני.

Bava Kamma #64- צד השוה לאתויי מאי: כותל ואילן שנפלו ב׳ - Feb 3, 2019 - We further discussed תוס׳'s understanding of נפילת אונס ומפקיר נזקיו as it relates to כותל ואילן.

Bava Kamma #65-צד השוה לאתויי מאי: כותל ואילן שנפלו ג׳ - Feb 4, 2019 - Today we looked into תוס׳ ד״ה היינו בור, trying to understand how the כותל and אילן are actually מזיק-was it while they were falling, or after they already landed on the ground? Depending on that, What אב נזק would it be? We also saw the רא״ש in connection to this point, as well as how the רא״ש understands the לימוד of a צד השוה opposed to an opposing שיטה he quotes. Is it even a מחלוקת at the end of the day?

Mishpatim: The Order of the Parsha and Various Topics - Feb 1, 2019 -

Bava Kamma #63-צד השוה לאתויי מאי: כותל ועץ שנפלו - Jan 31, 2019 - We reviewed the end of yesterday's shiur, and went forward with the next two Tosfosim. The first dealt with whether the owner of the wall and tree would be liable for damages without a warning from בית דין. It stems from a מחלוקת in a גירסא, but we also dealt with a potential difficulty מסברא as well. In the next Tosfos, we looked into how our a potential conflict with the case of מפקיר נזקיו בנפילת אונס from כט ע״א, and discussed the significance of being מפקיר a תקלה in terms of one's liability.
