א) מעלות היום: הוא בא בהמשך לה"עת רצון" הכללית של חודש אלול והתחלת חודש תשרי, היום מתחילה התקופה בה אין אומרים תחנון, נקרא "בשם השם", ועפ"י מענת כ"ק אדמו"ר (מהרש"ב) נ"ע על שאלת בנו למחרת יוהכ"פ "נו, ומה עתה?" – ש"איצטער דאַרף מען ערשט תשובה טאָן", מובן, שהתשובה של יום זה היא נעלית יותר אפי' מהתשובה של יוהכ"פ, ובמילא מובן שעבודת היום צ"ל מתוך שמחה הכי גדולה. 2) זה שבשו"ע אדה"ז נאמרה פעמיים ההלכה שיש להתחיל בעשיית הסוכה במוצאי יוהכ"פ (בסיום הל' יוהכ"פ ובהתחלת הל' סוכה) הוא כדי להדגיש שעניני "זמן שמחתנו" הם כפולים וכו'. ג) שיעור חומש דיום שלישי דפ' ברכה הוא הברכה ד"וליוסף אמר וגו'" שכתובה בפרשה בפ"ע (לא כברכת שאר כל השבטים), וזוהי ברכה נפלאה שכוללת מלמעלה מעלה "ממגד שמים מטל" עד למטה מטה "ומתהום רובצת תחת" ובפסוק אחד!

Synopsis
(1) Based on the unique qualities of the day (it follows the general auspicious time of the month of Elul, Rosh Hashana, the Ten Days of Teshuvah, and Yom Kippur; from today until after the month of Tishrei, Tachanun is not recited; it is called “Hashem’s name”) and based on the well-known story that my father-in-law, the Rebbe, asked his father on the day after Yom Kippur “Nu, and what now,” and he replied, “Now we must begin to do teshuvah” – it is understood that the teshuvah of this day must be done with the greatest joy. (2) The law that we begin building the Sukkah on Motza’ei Yom Kippur appears twice in the Alter Rebbe’s Shulchan Aruch (once at the end of the Hilchos Yom Kippur and then again at the beginning of Hilchos Sukkah); the reason is to emphasize that the joy of “The time of our rejoicing” is manifold etc. (3) The daily Chumash for Tuesday of Parashah V’Zos HaBracha consists of blessing, “And of Yosef he said…”: this is the only blessing of the shevatim that appears in its own aliyah and isn’t combined with the blessing of any other shevet, and it is an extraordinary blessing, encompassing from “the sweetness of the heaven” down to “the deep that lies below,” and all in one verse.
