הוראה ממ"ש בתחילת פ' בא "בא אל פרעה כי אני הכבדתי את לבו . . למען שתי אותתי אלה בקרבו וגו'": ענינים המבלבלים שמקשים על האדם לעבוד את קונו באים ברצונו של הקב"ה, כי עי"ז שמתגברים עליהם מתגלים ויוצאים מן הכח אל הפועל הכחות המיוחדים שהקב"ה נתן לבנ"י, ועד"ז בנוגע לחושך הגלות, ועד"ז בנוגע ה"פרעה מלך מצרים" שבימינו, שזה ש"כבד לב פרעה" ה"ז בגלל ש"אני הכבדתי את לבו", ואי"ז אלא נסיון ויש לעמוד מולו בתוקף וללכת בדרך אור התורה ‏–‏ "באור פניך יהלכון", ואז יהי' "אשרי העם יודעי תרועה" ‏–‏ של תכסיסי מלחמה ‏–‏ יטילו פחד עליהם וכו'.

A lesson from the verse at the beginning of Parasha Bo, “Come to Pharaoh, for I have hardened his heart… so that I may demonstrate these signs of Mine in his midst…”: the distractions a Jew faces in his divine service come from Hashem, so that by overcoming them, he will reveal the hidden powers Hashem has given him. This applies in one’s personal divine service as well as generally to the “Pharaoh” of our times”: the fact that “Pharaoh’s heart is hardened” is only because “I have hardened his heart,” and it is only a test, which one should confront firmly by following the light of Torah – “walking in the light of Your countenance.” Then, “Fortunate is the people that know the blasting of the horn,” the horn sounded in battle will instill fear and dread in the opposition etc.
