בנוסף לנסים שהיו לפני מאסרו של בעל הגאולה ועאכו"כ נס הגאולה עצמו – הי' נס גלוי בעת המאסר גופא שלא שמים לב לזה. בדרך כלל כאשר חושדים במישהו ורוצים להושיבו במאסר – מבטיחים לכל לראש שלא יוכל לדבר עם אחרים ללא שמירה וכו', אבל כאן, אלו שבאו לאסרו (שביניהם הי' גם יהודי שהוא בעל-בחירה וקשה יותר להתמודד עמו) ביקשו ממנו שילך עם אמו לחדר לדבר עמה ביחידות (להרגיעה)! שאין לזה שום מקום בטבע! וההוראה: כל אחד שמתבונן בחייו רואה שהוא מסובב בנסים. ובכן, כאשר יהודי עושה חשבון ומגיע למסקנא שאינו צריך להתעסק בהפצת התורה והיהדות כי עפ"י טבע לא יכול להצליח בזה – אומרים לו שכל החשבונות אין להם כל תפיסת מקום בנוגע לבנ"י שכל ההנהגה איתם אין לה מקום בחשבון עפ"י טבע! ובודאי שאין לערוך חשבון "על חשבונו" של הזולת... כל אחד שייך לפעול על הזולת, ורואים שכל אלו שעשו זאת – הצליחו במשך הזמן.

And certainly one should not make such calculations at someone else’s expense. Everyone can have an impact on others, and we see that in the course of time, all who have had done so have succeeded.
