בי"ב תמוז ה'תרפ"ז, בהיותו בגלות בקאַסטראַמאַ, הלך כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר (עם החסיד ר' אלי' חיים אלטהויז) למשרד כדי להרשם, אלא שבגלל איזה "חגא" הי' המשרד סגור, אבל מי שהי' שם הודיע לו שהתקבלה פקודה לשחררו. כשחזר לאכסניא שלו (שם כבר שמעו את הבשורה), מצאו את החסיד ר' מיכאל דווארקין רוקד מסביב לבית עם בקבוק משקה ושר "ניעט ניעט ניקאווא וכו'" שתוכנו – "אין עוד מלבדו". ולכן מהנכון שכעת, כש"הימים האלה נזכרים ונעשים", ישירו את הניגון הזה. ועד"ז מסופר על החסיד ר' אלי' חיים הנ"ל שכאשר שמע את בשורת הגאולה נשתנו צבעי פניו עד כדי סכנה... וכ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הי' צריך להרגיעו וכו'. ועד"ז מסופר על הילד שהסתובב שם בבית, שכאשר שמע את הבשורה, טיפס על גדר הבית והסתובב סביבו עם ראשו למטה ורגליו למעלה... וההוראה: שמחת הגאולה צריכה לפעול אצל כאו"א – הן כאשר הוא במצב של "ילד", או "מבוגר", או "זקן" – לצאת מהגבלותיו – "מאודך", וזה ימשיך את ה"מאד" שלמעלה – בלי גבול האמיתי וכו'.

On 12 of Tammuz 5687 (1927) in exile in Kostroma, the Rebbe, my father-in-law (accompanied by the Chassid R’ Eliyahu Chaim Althaus) went to register at the local government office. The office was closed due to some holiday, but the officer on duty informed the Rebbe that an order had been received from Moscow to release him. When he returned to his lodging (where they had already heard the news), they found the Chassid R’ Michoel Dvorkin dancing around the house with a bottle of mashkeh and singing “nyet nyet nikavo,” etc., which means “there is none else besides Him.” Therefore, it is appropriate now, when “these days are remembered and observed,” that this niggun should be sung. Similarly, it is told that when the abovementioned Chassid R’ Eliyahu Chaim heard the news, his face changed colors, to the point that the Rebbe, my father-in-law, was concerned for his health, and sought to calm him down. There was also a child in the house, who, upon seeing the excitement, climbed up on the fence and made his way around the fence a few times with his head down and his feet up. The lesson is: the joy of the liberation should affect everyone – whether he’s on the level of a “child,” an “adult,” or an “elder” – to break free of his limitations – “your very,” and this will draw down the “very” from above – true boundlessness etc.
