דוקא בזמן האחרון שהולכים ומרעישים אודות הצורך לצעוק "עד מתי" ולדרוש את הגאולה, באים כאלו שצועקים שטוב להם בגלות!... טוב בגשמיות וטוב ברוחניות, ומדוע מרעישים שצריכים לצעוק "עד מתי"?!... וי"ל ההסבר היחידי לזה – שהיא הנותנת: מכיון שבזמן האחרון דוקא נוגע ביותר שיצעקו "עד מתי", ולכן יש ע"ז התנגדות יתירה מצד הלעו"ז (וע"ד המבואר בדא"ח בנוגע הקליפה של ע"ז בזמן מנשה), עד שבאים כאלו ו"שופכים מים קרים" על אלו שצועקים ומבקשים ודורשים שמשיח יבוא כבר – "עד מתי", באמרם הרי אפשר לקיים כעת תומ"צ בהידור ואפשר להתעסק בהפצת המעיינות חוצה וכו', ובשביל מה לעזוב כ"ז ו"להטלטל" על "ענני שמיא", שיחכו עד שיכריחו אותנו לצאת מגלות... – רואים בפועל שעי"ז פועלים הם חלישות לא רק בענין צעקת "עד מתי" ובהאמונה ש"מהרה תצמיח", אלא גם חלישות בעצם האמונה בביאת משיח צדקנו! Synopsis
Precisely in recent times, when we’re stressing the need to cry out Ad mosai and to demand the Geulah, there are those shouting that since they’re comfortable in exile…well off materially and well off spiritually, why should we cry out Ad mosai? The only possible explanation is that the two go together: Since it is now more crucial than ever to cry out Ad mosai, therefore the opposition to it from kelipah is greater than ever (similar to the explanation in Chassidus regarding the kelipah of idolatry in the time of Menashe). To o the point that they pour cold water on the notion of demanding Moshiach’s coming, by arguing that after all, today in exile one can keep Torah and mitzvos fully and engage in spreading the wellsprings outward etc., so why should we uproot ourselves and go through the bother of traveling on “heaven clouds”; we should wait until we are forced to leave exile…We see in practice that this causes a weakening not only with regards to crying out Ad mosai and a weakening in the belief that Hashem will “Speedily cause the scion of Dovid to sprout forth,” but also a weakening in the very belief in Moshiach’s coming.
