בשיעור רמב"ם היומי: "לא ישא אדם אשה ודעתו לגרשה". ועפ"ז נשאלת השאלה: מכיון שמפורש בקרא "וקם העם הזה וזנה וגו' ועזבתים וגו'", נמצא דבעת הנישואין של הקב"ה עם כנס"י בעת מ"ת, הי' בדעתו לגרש, ח"ו, את בנ"י?! אלא בהכרח לומר שמלכתחילה אין כאן ענין של גירושין כלל! וכמ"ש "אי זה ספר כריתות וגו'" (אלא למראית עין). ומכיון שכן מתחזקת השאלה "עד מתי?!", הרי הקב"ה חייב לכנס"י "שארה כסותה ועונתה", ולפי הבנת וטובת האשה...! אין ברירה אלא לעשות את ה"אמת'ן געוואַלד" שרוצים משיח תיכף ומיד ממש! [ניגנו "ווי וואנט משיח נאו" בהתלהבות עצומה במשך שעה ומחצה!.. ואח"כ אמר:] אם יש כאן "ועד המסדר" שיבחרו א' שיכריז "עד כאן הקפה וכו'" כבהקפות...

Today’s Rambam states, “A man should not marry a woman if he intends to divorce her.” The question is, we know that the giving of the Torah was the “marriage” of Hashem and the Jewish people, yet the verse says explicitly that “this people will rise up and stray…and I will abandon them…” which seemingly indicates that at the time of the marriage, Hashem intended to divorce the Jewish people, chas v’shalom? Rather, we must say that there was never a divorce (but only the outward appearance of one), as the verse states, “Where is your mother’s bill of divorce....” For this reason, the cry of “Ad mosai?” becomes even stronger – because Hashem is obligated to provide the Jewish people with “food, clothing, and intimacy,” and these must be given according to the needs and understanding of the wife. There is no choice but to raise a true hue and cry that we want Moshiach literally right now. [After the chassidim sang the niggun “We Want Moshiach Now” for an hour and a half straight, the Rebbe said:] If there’s a Vaad Hamesader here, they should appoint someone to announce, “This concludes the hakafah…”
