א) הוראה לתלמידים הנוסעים בקיץ לשליחות, שבכ"מ בואם ישמעו מהם ענין בנגלה ואח"כ ענין בתורת החסידות (ע"ד הנהגת אדה"ז ברכישת חסידים). ב) לאחרונה נהייתה חולשה במ"ש כמ"פ ש"עד ארבעין שנין" יש להגביל א"ע בעת התוועדויות לג' כוסיות לכל היותר, וביחד‏ – ‏פחות מרביעית, הן בשבת ויו"ט, י"ב תמוז, י"ט כסלו, שמח"ת, פורים ובכל זמן שאפשר להורות היתר. (כוס של קידוש אינו בחשבון). הדברים בתוקף כעת ועל ימים שיבואו ובלי פשט'לעך! ג) התעוררות בנוגע לענין הצניעות גם בזמן הקיץ ובמקום ה"קאָנטרי", וזה קשור עם מ"ש [בשישי דפ' בלק] "מה טובו אהליך יעקב וגו'" וכפרש"י "ראה פתחיהן שאין מכוונין זה מול זה"‏ – ‏ענין הצניעות. ולזכור שה' נמצא עם כ"א בכ"מ שהוא ויש להתנהג בהתאם!‏

(1) A directive for the students traveling on summer shlichus: wherever they go, they should first share a thought in Nigleh, and then in Chassidus (similar to the Alter Rebbe’s method of acquiring Chassidim). (2) Recently there’s been a weakening in terms of limiting oneself before age forty to three cups of l’chaim at most, and not less than a revi’is in total, whether on Shabbos or Yom Tov, 12 Tammuz, 19 Kislev, Simchas Torah, Purim, or any other time when one might think to be lenient. (The cup for Kiddush is not included). This is in force now and for the coming days, without any “explanations”! (3) Modesty is necessary even during the summer, and even in the “country,” and it relates to the verse [in Shishi of Parashas Balak], “How goodly are your tents, O Yaakov” etc.; on which Rashi explains, “he saw that the openings of their tents did not face each other” – the matter of modesty. One should remember that Hashem is with everyone wherever he is, and one should behave accordingly!
