התחלת שלישי דפ' שלח "אם חפץ בנו ה' והביא אותנו אל הארץ הזאת וגו'" באה בהמשך למ"ש בסיום שני דפ' שלח "טובה הארץ מאד מאד" כמובן בפשטות וכ"ה בלקו"ת בפ' שלח (שפסוקים אלו הם ד"ה א'). והקשר ביניהם עפ"י המבואר שם: דוקא "אם חפץ בנו וגו'" – בחי' פנימיות הרצון (פנימיות הכתר) שהיא למעלה מהגבלה לגמרי – "מאד מאד" ב"פ, נמשך ונתגלה בארץ דוקא "טובה הארץ מאד מאד .. אל הארץ וגו'". והביאור: המרגלים רצו לישאר במדבר ולקיים המצוות ברוחניות (בעולם המחשבה או גם בעולם הדבור וכו') ולא ליכנס לא"י ולקיים מצוות מעשיות (בעולם המעשה), וכנגד דעה זו הכריזו יהושע וכלב "טובה הארץ מאד מאד" – שעיקר הכוונה הוא קיום מצוות מעשיות ועי"ז דוקא נמשך בחי' "מאד מאד" ולכן יש ליכנס לא"י; אין להסתפק ב"והביא אותנו אל הארץ וגו'" בעבודה רוחנית – העיקר הוא גאולה האמיתית והשלימה ו"ארץ זבת חלב ודבש" בפועל ממש כפשוטו!

Synopsis
The beginning of shelishi of parashas Shelach, “If Hashem desires us, He will bring us to this land…” is a direct continuation of the end of sheini, “The land is very, very good.” This is evident from the plain reading of the verses, as well as from the explanation in Likkutei Torah (where both verses form a single dibur hamaschil). As explained there, the connection between the two verses is that it is specifically “If Hashem desires us,” the inner desire (the inner dimension of Kesser) which totally transcends limitation (the level of “very, very”) that is revealed in the land. Thus, whereas the spies wanted to remain in the desert and to fulfill mitzvos in a spiritual sense (in the realm of thought or the realm of speech etc.), Yehoshua and Kalev proclaimed, “The land is very, very good” – the main goal is to fulfill the mitzvos practically, and this requires actually entering the land. Similarly, nowadays it is not enough to “enter the land” in a spiritual sense; the main thing is the coming of the true and complete Redemption, and the “land flowing with milk and honey” literally.
