מפעולותיו של הצ"צ: בימיו נעשה אחדות בין החסידים עם אלו שהיו עד אז מנגדים לחסידות; התעסק תוך מס"נ בענין החינוך, והוא הי' "ראש המדברים" באסיפות שהתקיימו בפטרבורג בענין זה ועמד בתוקף וכו'; התעסק עם חיילים היהודים שהוכרחו להתגייס, עד שהם ביקשו ממנו לבוא ולומר מאמר בפניהם והממשלה הסכימה ואמר בפניהם מאמר ד"ה שמע ישראל ה' אלקינו ה' אחד, ולאח"ז נדפס מאמר זה ולומדים בזה עד היום וכו'. ההוראה: יש לדעת שהיום בטלה ההתנגדות לחסידות ואנשים רוצים לשמוע וכו'.
