גם בזמן הזה שנמצאים בגלות, מנהג ישראל לאכול בט"ו בשבט פירות שנשתבחה בהם ארץ ישראל! ומכאן הוכחה שהגשמי של הדבר הוא רק לבוש לעיקר - פנימיות הדבר, ולדוגמא בנוגע בהמ"ק, דאע"פ שבהמ"ק הגשמי נחרב, אבל גם כעת קיים ברוחניות בהמ"ק ועבודת הקרבנות - עבודת התפלה ש"במקום קרבנות תקנום", ועד"ז אע"פ שהגוים נגעו בגשמיות של א"י ועשו "שממה" וכו', אבל זהו בחיצוניות, אבל בנוגע הרוחניות, גם היום, כשמגיע ר"ה לאילנות מתעורר האדם ואומר הברכה על הפרי (בכוונת פירוש המלות) ואוכל את הפרי (עם הכוונה וכו') [מחשבה דבור ומעשה] שבדוגמתו נשתבחה א"י!, ומה טוב לקשר זה גם עם לימוד ענין בתורה הקשור עם זה וכו', וע"י קיום מנהג ישראל זה מזרזים את הגאולה.

Even in exile, the Jewish custom is to eat the fruits for which Eretz Yisroel is praised on Tu B’Shevat. This proves that the physical dimension of something is only a garment and secondary to its inner, spiritual dimension. For example, the Beis Hamidash: although the physical Beis Hamikdash was destroyed, the Beis Hamikdash continues to exist spiritually in every Jew, and the service of Korbanos continues to exist spiritually in tefillah. Similarly, the gentiles were only able to destroy the physicality of Eretz Yisrael, but spiritually, even today, on the Rosh Hashana for Trees a Jew is inspired, and eats the fruits for which Eretz Yisrael is praised, saying the bracha on it, and thinking the meaning of the words etc. (thought, speech, and action). And even better is to associate it with learning something connected to the day as well. Observing this custom hastens the Redemption.
