For our second Hollerween installment we bring you CHUD II.
While only loosely connected to the first film, Bud the Chud brings it's own charm and goofyness. Plus, at long last, at least half of the Country Crock mystery SOLVED.
We are officially Gerritt Graham stans now.

Z expected sexploitation, but instead got Blade Runner 2049 in 1985's 2017.
Or Cyberpunk 2077 in Fallout 76's 2102.
Or something. Idk, Never played it.
Plus we give closing arguments on SciFi-temper.

Longtime listener, long distance runner, fellow local podcaster AND fellow Trekker, Sven, joins us to talk about this foundational film from his formative years.
Disney's first foray into less kid-centered material, a sci-fi epic meant to rival the scope and success of Episode IV: A New Hope (1977), Black Hole left quite an impression on your hosts and lead to an epic hang!

The movie Arnold passed on and yet Stalone didn't get involved.
With Christopher Lambert in the lead plus support from pod faves Jeffery Combs and Kurtwood Smith (plus a performance from Lincoln Kilpatrick that deserves a better movie), Fortress swings for the fences. And it almost gets there. Almost.

We're kicking off a month of scifi with Sam Raimi's 1990 homage to 1930's serials and Universal monsters. With solid performances all around, impressive FX and action, it does not disappoint.

Jane Campion, hot off the critical success of The Piano (1993), helms this adaptation of Henry James' 1881 novel. Two and a half hours of ultra-rich people problems. Neither the cast -full of some of our favorites- nor Campion's willingness to experiment with unconventional techniques could save this one for us.
