Z Media Worldwide Podcast and Music

Just another non-commercial cover of a classic. Why this? Because it popped into my head out of the blue the other day and I "just had to do it"? I don't know. But it's a great song by the legendary Neil Diamond, no question--classic. I got inspired and jammed a bit.

FAKE NEWS, SCRIPTED VIEWS

I write my fiction for the evening news

The facts don’t make the story

It’s what my bosses choose.

Did you ever think the truth would lose?

Read my scripted views!

Need an idea advanced

Got an enemy to treat cruel?

Don’t worry , baby, I’ll fix your sinner soon,

Just point me to the highest bidder.

Turn us on and watch me!

Lyin’ in the morning Lying next to noon,

You’re trained to hear the TV ‘ accept it all as true.

We know you love our twisted views.

Watch our fictioned news!

Station after station when the night hour is near,

The lights go up

The actors appear.

Different theme songs ring the same in your ears

It’s time for scripted views.

“Listen to the buzz; we call it truth, It’s not gossip if it’s on the evening news. Someone said something, no proof. Welcome scripted news.”

It’s all the rage in Europe You better follow suit.

Someone blew up a church. A pariahs name is “proof.”

An old man dies, pillow on his face.

I’ll go ahead and write the script we’ll use

For the scripted news.

No need to cry or bother feeling appalled,

Since half of our stories never happened at all.

It’s just interesting when people lie,

See our scripted views.

A sultry bleach blonde, the screen to adorn.

She once was an actress in deviant porn,

we let her tongue cut men to the core, She gives twisted views.

A sugar coat, and then more lies yet,

Sometimes her victims play hard to get.

She’ll kill you if you second guess.

Need more scripted views.

Lyin’ in the morning Lying next to noon,

You’re trained to hear the TV ‘ accept it all as true.

We know you love our twisted views.

Watch our fictioned news!

Go back to sleep

Pretend we didn’t talk

You breathe a word I’ll outline you in chalk.

You have no idea how much we hate you,

Leave me, don’t stalk

See you on the next scripted news.

God Will NOT be Mocked!

What were you thinking?

How can we understand this?

I don’t want to lose this journey.

I know it leads to where I need to go.

The only mistake is not to go.

I will walk the path.

I’m gonna cross the road.

I’m gonna find my way home…….

Abomination

By Zeph Daniel

It’s an abomination

No!

it’s abomination

Noo!

Revelation

And you know this

Situation

Aggravation

And you know this

Retribution

When you thought you escaped

you never looked

to see who followed

but you ran into trouble

and then you fought

you were smarter than that

you beat them all

Abomination

Actualization

Sick creation

Abomination

Abomination

Revelation

Abomination

Recreation

Obliviation

How do I reach you

Reach me?

I’m not gonna pledge to this

Never to this

Subversion

Abomination

Abomination

Abomination

Revelation

Contraction

Attraction

A distraction

An addiction

A restoration

A destination

I promise you I will go away!

I’m never gonna do it again….

Did you think you’d just go walk out of here

I know what you do I know where you been

you’re not squeaky clean you’ll never get in

Abomination

Abomination

Occupation

You’re an abomination

Abomination

You’re abomination

Oh…

What I gotta do with you

Abomination

What I gotta do what I gotta do what I gotta do…

Abomination

Abomination

A sick reflection

No reaction

Never gonna do it again

Never gonna do it again

Mass confusion

No solution

Just really about the human condition. I play live drums and a one-off multi-synth performance on this one.

ZED

Sometimes it’s ridiculous! Definitely silly at times. I need to breathe.

Testing Testing

It came a creeping

while I was sleeping

Into the corner of my mind

Into the doubt left there

It's shadow crossed my light

When my heart was bare

I felt it's fangs bite my foot

To slow me down to an easy catch

For victim, it mistook

My heel now on its head.

What cha gonna do when the kids aren’t dreaming

Hip to your tricks and your dirty scheming

What is this doubt that crosses my mind again

We’re always fighting, no rest within

My soul is tired but my spirit hammers down

Testing testing testing

Father can you hear me?

Holy Spirit come

Rescue, rescue, I need rescue

Not by my power but by your spirit only

Not by my sight but by the word of truth

It came a creeping as I was sleeping

Into the corners of my mind

Into the doubt left there

Its shadow crossed my light

When my heart was bare

What cha gonna do when the kids aren’t dreaming

Hip to your tricks and your dirty scheming

What ya gonna do, what ya gonna do, what ya gonna do?

Nothing.
