DCP aka Death Camp Parade

Remember Rock? Perhaps a throwback to the good ol' days, but with a twist. The theme is Totalitarianism, which results in Tyranny and a destruction of peoples rights, happiness, and basic health. Rock is all about the rebel yell, so I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed.

Here is something new. A sonic story. A dark story about a topic that people should be wary about. That's all I have to say.

I told Kellie my story and she composed a series of vignettes that appear throughout and act as a kind of Greek chorus. Very cool stuff.

I composed tracks, including your basic Moroccan disco track and used film sound editing skills (still have some) to bring forth the story.

Rich sent me his electro track and I hooked my mic up to the UA LA-610 MkII channel strip and for a couple weeks I had nothing to say -- I usually do some ad-lib singing to get the feel...then think about it, then try other things until something begins to gel. Needless to say the song could be about ANYBODY doing wrong and thinking they get away with it.

What was on my mind at the time? Overwhelm at all the people doing horrible things on the world stage and seeming to get away with it. Carry on. Z
