Ever wondered how much trade is happening between the Zambian provinces? Forget SADC, forget African Union, just within Zambia.

There isn't a direct road between Mongu and Solwezi. It can take up to 17hrs drive for a fisherman from Zambezi plains in Mongu to deliver fish to the lucrative market of Solwezi via Lusaka. If I am not mistaken, that is the case between Kasama and Chipata.

Other than delivery methods to be developed by the new witchcraft course at UNZA, trade between North Western and the bordering Western Provinces is ZERO.

Solution? The $2 billion rail project between Serenje and Chipata, should instead be used to develop these two corridors plus the Southern network.

George Masempela, Author of the book called ‘I Still Call Zambia Home’ was born in Zambia, Africa in a town called Ndola on the Copperbelt. He relocated to Australia in 2004 and studied at TAFE Central  pursuing a Diploma in Tourism Management Operations. Currently he is  working with the Department of Justice as a Prison Officer at the Eastern Goldfields Regional Prison.

*Their politics are too centralised.

*They suffer from bad messaging

*They lack vibrant surrogates who can articulate the UPND vision for the country

*They have to be inclusive, grassroot campaign.

*HH is surrounded by politicians, that's where the problem it.

*HH has to reintroduce himself to the people of Zambia.

*They have very weak communications and response teams.

*HH has to articulate his 10 point plan again..in a language most Zambians can understand.

"The African leaders are not working in the interest of its people." Africa needs an Arab spring, we lack vigilance in Africa.
