Pastor Evan Mawarire is a Zimbabwean clergyman who rose to prominence in the Spring when he draped the national flag around his shoulders and took to YouTube to call for change and citizens to get involved in the process. Pastor Mawarire was detained by the Mugabe's regime, he was eventually released after a number lawyers showed up in droves to represent him. Pastor Mawarire is currently visiting the United States which has also raised contention from his supporters back home who have cried foul of being abandoned.
